Intel Prompts This Response From Trump

President Trump was taken back after leaders of the U.S. intelligence community gave a Senate committee an evaluation of events wildly at odds with his own views.

These intelligence officials stated that the nuclear threat from North Korea was still very real, while the possibility that Iran was developing a nuclear weapon were unfounded.

This was in stark contrast to Trump’s observation that talks with North Korea had been largely successful in getting the country to diminish their nuclear capabilities.

It also flew in the face of Trump’s decision to re-impose sanctions on Iran, after claiming that Iran was “not living up to the spirit” of an agreement put in place by the Obama administration.

The president took to Twitter to vent his frustration over the matter.

“The Intelligence people seem to be extremely passive and naive when it comes to the dangers of Iran. They are wrong!” Trump posted before adding, “Perhaps Intelligence should go back to school!”

The officials that approached the Senate committee included FBI Director Christopher Wray, CIA Director Gina Haspel, Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats, Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) Director Gen. Robert Ashley, National Security Agency (NSA) Director Gen. Paul Nakasone and Robert Cardillo, director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.

For the sake of the us all let’s hope that these leaders and President Trump can learn to see eye-to-eye.
