Here’s How Far Police will Go to Get Your Money…

The Police can Take YOUR Money Without
Proving Anything
…Just One Unacceptable Way
the Government is Funding Itself…

Picture this: A cop stops you on the highway. He searches your car, including your wallet or purse. You prefer to pay in cash on vacation, so you have several $1,000s with you.

The cop calls for backup. They SAY they suspect you’re dealing drugs. Of course they find nothing, but they confiscate ALL of your cash anyway.

Think it couldn’t happen in the “US of A”? Think again. After the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Homeland Security and the Department of Justice now allow aggressive search and seizure tactics known as “highway interdiction.”

Washington Post: $Millions Have Been Seized
with NO Criminal Charges…It Can Take Years to Get It Back

The Washington Post reported that $2.5 billion in cash has been ripped away from motorists who haven’t been charged with any crime.
Some officers compete to see who can take the most. Believe it or not, it’s all perfectly legal.

  • State and federal laws allow cash seizures
  • Burden of proof lies with citizens
  • People are considered guilty until proven innocent
  • Seized cash can’t legally support police budgets, but hundreds of departments are doing just that, because governments are strapped for cash.

According to Armstrong Economics, police departments now seize more from citizens than people lose in robberies.

The government is trying to pass laws that could threaten your money in other ways, too. Remember Obama’s 529 college savings and the myRA? Nothing more than a new government Ponzi scheme, as an editor of Wealth Daily put it.

Is this really and anti-cop plea? The Congressional Conservatives passed laws years ago to stop the drug traffic which allowed local authorities to keep the money seized, all in the name of law and order, and in some areas – largely along I-95 and I-10, the local cops would make pretextual stops (broken tail lights), discover cash and seize it and so the local citizens would not have to pay for their own governments – anything goes when it comes to not paying taxes, and is best to use others money to fund local services. With no money, the seizure was rarely contested, but in one case where about $8k was seized, the govenment ‘expert’ said that the denominations – ranging from $1 to $100 bills were amounts used in drug deals, and the judge from the bench, asked him – “What in the hell are left – quarters?”, and the man got his money back.
About 30 years ago in Denver, the IRS seized the home of an elderly woman who had failed to pay less than $1,000 in income taxes, and the home was sold for that amount to the buddy of the State Commisioner of Internal Revenue to a buddy, and they both did well, but that was during Reagan when nothing could go wrong.
In 1993, the Government went after the fees that a drug dealer had paid to his attorney as ‘dirty money’ even though the defendant had gotten 20 years anyway, but, for the change the govt lost. At that time, if one had a private attorney, the changes of being convicted were about 50:50, but with a court appointed attorney, about 98:2 – more risk of being convicted than during the Nazi tribunals in Poland during WWII. Great system of law and order aka – Bring the Guilty Bastard In.
