Thousands of Illegals Already Lining Up for Obama Amnesty Program in These 5 States

Amnesty1The Associated Press is reporting that workshops have been conducted for illegal immigrants “at a high school in Knoxville, Tennessee, a church in Goshen, Indiana, and an Islamic Center in New York City.” Eben Cathey of the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition told the AP that “every time we do an information session, it is full.”

There have also been meetings throughout California and in Seattle. The purpose of the gatherings is to assist attendees in qualifying for President Barack Obama’s executive amnesty program.

An upcoming event in the Los Angeles convention center is expected to draw 10,000 illegal immigrants. Angelica Salas, Executive Director of the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles said:

After this big forum, we’re going to have daily orientations. That is what we have to do in order to deal with the demand.

At recent workshops and on telephone hotlines, immigrants have questioned advocates about who will qualify and what documents they will need. Many want to know how they can prove their identity after living under the radar for so long, and some worry they might face trouble for having worked under a false Social Security number.

During a recent meeting at a San Diego community center, attendees asked questions for two hours, and hands were still raised when the meeting ended. Michelle Saucedo, who is a legal advisor for Asian Americans Advancing Justice in Los Angeles, said they have found immigrants from Asia prefer to have a personal one-on-one meeting, because many are ashamed of being in the country illegally. When her group advertising large workshops for the Chinese community in 2012, very few people turned out. She expects a much bigger turnout this time, because they are structuring the assistance differently. She explained:

It is very private and people often call and say, “Can I just see you in your office one-on-one.” We have learned along the way.

Immigrant advocacy groups have also been warning their clients about predatory consultants who are charging exorbitant feels to complete applications for the Obama amnesty.

An estimated 5 million foreign immigrants who are in the country illegally are expected to qualify for the executive amnesty. Obama and Representative Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) have said it is incumbent upon immigrant organizations and community advocates to identify the illegal immigrants and have them apply for formal temporary amnesty next year. Another 7 million illegal immigrants will not qualify for this executive amnesty; however, President Obama has promised the changes of their being deported will be greatly increased, except in the case of violent criminals.

Twenty states have filed lawsuits aimed at blocking the Obama executive action, which is designed to benefit illegals who have been in the country more than five years or have children born here, as well as some who entered the country as children.

          • Mark

          • Bobtrhn

If you think you’re upset now then wait for the 9,000 Syrian muslims coming here and we are paying to get them here. It really is time for bozo to go. He should start flapping his ears and fly away like dumbo did.

          • 19mad74

Once the Republicans take over Congress hopefully the public will pressure them to stop this insanity.

    • Tomas dela Terra

Correct! Your comment re: “WE ARE PAYING FOR THESE ILLEGALS!” definitely IS BS!

      • Bobtrhn

Tomas maybe your taxes aren’t paying for that because you are probably collecting all the freebies. Where the hell do you think that money comes from? IDIOT!!!!

        • Mark

          Not from you…….

          • Bobtrhn

You really have a problem don’t you?

          • Tomas dela Terra

Some of us will ALREADY be in jail for refusing to obey orders to (a) give up our guns,or (b) answer
questions about where we got them or WHO we gave them to.

          • Jerry Hughes

I started carrying a weapon in 1958 when I entered the USMC.
I made combat landing in Lebanon 1958 , Libya 1960, 21 days floating off of Havana Harbor, waiting to see if we were going in after Russian Nuclear missiles.
Then 22 month in Viet Nam.
Any one that wants my weapons, can come and get them, kiss your mommy first.

          • Tomas dela Terra

So Jerry, how is it that you can be so stridently objective about your ABSOLUTE RIGHT to bare arms in defiance of those politically correct dimwits who pass LAWS THAT PROHIBIT DOING SO!

Yet you jump through the designated hoops to demonstrate your “political correctness” in denying
certain people the same rights that even slaves were acknowledged to have by the FOURTEENTH Amendment. Such hypocracy is NOT attractive!

          • Jerry Hughes

I don’t deny the criminal aliens anything they are entiltled to.
Go through the process, then, welcome to the USA.
You don’t, your life will not be wonderful and we are getting very tired of telling you scum, that.
By the way jerk, the 14th amendment specifies only one thing, if you were born in this country, you are a citizen.
If you are the criminal that came here illegally, and had kids, feel free to leave your kids here, and get your criminal a$$ out of my country.
lot of us are pushing out legislators to put a bounty on criminal aliens, Shoot them, take them to the check station, collect your bounty

          • Mark

Jerry you really are dumb aren’t you…….Are you seeking a Doctor for some help, because you sure could use it…….

          • Jerry Hughes

Kill your self scumbag, help us clean up the gene pool.
If you hurry, possibly you can get it done before your children find out that they are related to you, no point in hanging that burden on them for life.

          • Jerry Hughes

Well, it sure isn’t from a liberal dem bloodsucker scum bag

          • Mark

Jerry Jerry are you really hard up, here call the 1800 Wam

          • Jerry Hughes

Not me scum bag, I work and pay my own way, unlike the liberal dem bloodsuckers and the criminal aliens

          • Mark

Well get to work, I’m retired Military, oh wait your will never retire will you after what Republicans did to SS,,,,,LMAO…..

          • Jacky

After what Republicans did to SS, ho hum another lying liberal dem bloodsucker, again
It’s no wonder the decent people call you scum. American Jihadists, you will accept/countenance any lie, any cheat, any theft as long as it advances your ideology.
Help us clean the gene scumbag, kill yourself, if you hurry, maybe you can get it done before your children find out that they are related to you.
No point in hanging that kind of burden on them for life.

          • Mark

Wow Jacky another true TeaParty responses to an American Veteran image that make you a Traitor to this Country……but what else is nice, you just love to hate…….

          • Tomas dela Terra

Why NOT from me? Do you only read black books with swastikas on them.

          • Mark

            No bob, it’s obvious you collect….and that’s funny….LOL….

        • Tomas dela Terra
      • Drew Page

When Jiggs said “We are paying for these illegals” he was referring to those of us who actually do pay federal income taxes and property taxes. You do realize don’t you that only 53% of wage earners in america actually pay federal income taxes; the other 47% do not? You do realize don’t you that illegal aliens do get food stamps, rent subsidies and welfare checks as well as free medical care in hospital emergency rooms that result in higher hospital charges and health insurance premiums for those of us who do pay for health insurance, without government subsidies? You do realize don’t you that those of us who do pay state and federal income taxes are paying for the criminal element of illegal aliens in this country, for the additional police, prosecuting attorneys, defense attorney’s and incarceration of these illegal alien criminals? You want “facts” and “statistics”? Do a little research to find out what percentages of those in prison are illegal aliens, or does that information not seem relevant to you? Before you declare the comments of those pointing these things out to you as “B.S.”, MAYBE YOU SHOULD ACQUAINT YOURSELF WITH THE FACTS.

      • Jerry Hughes

You are a bare faced liberal dem bloodsucking liar,.
LA county alone, payed 200 million in welfare benefits for criminal aliens. last year

    • pmbalele

Those whining about illegals are the one sitting on their ass expecting illegal to work. I hired 50 people and as soon I paid them the first week, 1/2 of them never reported for work. I therefore went with illegals. Those never asked questions-they just go to work. And here you’re with dumb TPs who are lazy, waiting for government entitlements. But when Blacks get the same entitlements the same TPs whine why the government gives these hand-outs to Blacks. These TPs cannot understand that Blacks are as regular Americans as themselves.

      • 101Airborne

pmbalele, YOUR THE KIND OF ASSHOLE THAT WANTS LABOR FOR NOTHING, AND KEEP EVERYTHING FOR YOURSELF!!! DO YOU PAY ALL THAT THE LAW REQUIRES OF EMPLOYERS, FOR THE ILLEGALS… IF SO..HOW ??? NO SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS!!! ETC…TYPICAL LYING MORON!!!!! LESSONS FROM THE W.H. MORON!!!

        • pmbalele

Well, Ted Cruz is not eligible to work but still he is Senator form racist district of Texas. If Ted can work why not the illegals. Thank God President Obama has enables these illegals to come out the shadows. Now they will pay tax and recieve all benefits as regular people. Got it now?

          • J_R_K

            Vladimir… Is that you? Mr. Putin… Hello……..???

          • Karen Redd

            Hilarious lol!

          • Karen Redd

If ‘obola’ can work anyone can.

          • pmbalele

President Obama was born in Hawii. Ted Cruz was born in Canada. But sure he fooled you with hie vermont accent.

          • Fraginals5

He does not want to fool any one. You believe whatever you want to believe, do you think he does not have bigger matters in mind than proving to you his legal status?

          • pmbalele

I believe you do not know Ted Cruz is now applying for Green Card. But dumb Texas people let him work without a permit. Please go and tell him to step down. He is embarrassing Texas people

          • Fraginals5

YOU are an embarrassment to brainless people.

          • pmbalele

Do you know even fellow Republicans are starting to doubt about Ted Cruz? They think Ted Cruz wants this country down.

          • Fraginals5

Does he work? I thought he just play golf, take taxpayer paid vacation and collect money for Democrats.

          • Karen Redd

            You are exactly right!

          • 101Airborne

pmbalele..Dear Sir: I want to make my post as painless as possible..what you posted above is as incoherent a statement as if coming from a pre-school child… I didn’t want to dignify your post with a reply, but in the interest of common decency, I had second thoughts and will attempt to give you some guidance…Please google, Article 11 Section 1 Re: Natural Born Citizen, U.S. Constitution.. Requirements for eligibility for The President of the United States.. 35 yrs. of age.. 14yrs. resident of U.S., and natural born citizen.. While your at it please google, [email protected] and educate yourself about Ted Cruz, his complete educational record, voting record, family background etc… Then try the same for your buddy O’bama(the LIAR).. GOT IT NOW???????

          • pmbalele

I am sorry, what you said is exactly what Romney said about the 47%. Such people like were raised delisional that them as rich people are better than the rest of Americans especially Blacks and other racial minorities. That is why TP motto is ‘we want to take back our country”- as stupid motto. Most of these illegals have children born here. So those children are Americans just your children or grandchildren and therefore have right to entitlements as Americans. Ted Cruz mother is white American. His father is Cuban who fled Castro
regime. Both moved to Canada where Ted was born- making him a Canadian-Cuban.
Ted is now trying to renounce his Canadian citizenship not his Cuban
citizenship. Actually, given President Obama recent pen to allow illegals to
stay here for another 5 years, Ted is processing to get a green card to work in
this country. Ted is not born US citizen. That disqualifies him from the WH
job. Even FoxNews people are not listing him as potential WH GOP nominee. They
know he is not born American. But Ted fooled dumb Texas TPs and Repubs with his
Vermont accent. But now regular Repubs are starting to question why he is senator. He is giving them problems. They are sensing that Ted is trying to bring down this country in interest of Cuba regime.

          • Jerry Hughes

Oh we have it alright liberal dem bloodsucker, aka American Jihadist the criminal aliens will be here for another 2 years, then they are gone and we will be looking to arrest and try people like you for aiding and abetting them
Your are a bare faced lying liberal scum bag Cruz is not disqualified in any manner from ruinning for president , lying slob.

          • Is there something wrong with you? You really need to get informed about what is happening to our country and who it is that is doing all the damage.

          • Fraginals5

Are you for real? Is it possible for such amount of non-sense in only one empty head?

          • JohnB

No, don’t forget Obama. That makes 2 empty heads. It kinda goes with the empty suit.

          • 101Airborne

          • pmbalele

Which womb did you grow in -not your mother’s? Remember you spent 9 months in your mother’s womb eating her food without pay. So call your mother before you write such stupid stuff on this site. If your mother finds to puke such language, she will disown you.

          • 101Airborne

            LOL

          • Drew Page

You must be as stupid as you appear to be. That is something that can’t be fixed.

          • pmbalele

Did you check where Cruz was born? You’re the one being ripped off by people like Cruz. Cruz fooled you with his Vermont accent.

          • Jerry Hughes

Cruz is a citizen stupid because his parents were You fing linberal scum can only remember that when you are trying to just the criminal aliens.

          • pmbalele

Do you want me to be another birther against Cruz. Do you know Cruz is trying to renounce his Cuban and Canadian citizeship to be eligible to have a job in this country? Where were you born Texas?

          • Fraginals5

Cruz have never been Cuban, where did you get that non-sense?

          • pmbalele

You see-you watch football and read the Sports section only. If you’re represented by Cruz, you are a moron. The guy was born in Canada by American woman and Cuban father. Now Ted is trying to get a green card.

          • Fraginals5

Cruz was born in Canada from an American mother. If she register him at the American Embassy as Americans used to do at that time he is an American Citizen from birth.

          • DoubleC

And what about his father? The natural born citizen thing seems to mean different things to different people. It needs to be clarified once and for all, for me it means “both” parents are born american citizens making their child a “born American” regardless of where the birth took place, such as military and other workers in foreign countries. A” naturalized” citizen is an American by legal means born to foreign parents in a foreign country. Children born in the US to illegal parents is still a citizen, but not a natural-born one, and cannot run for President, likewise a child with only one American citizen parent. America has been “dumbed down” now long enough.

          • 101Airborne

DoubleC… I agree with you that our laws have been dumbed down, but the interpretation of natural born as it stands right now is as I stated (a mother having been a citizen for fourteen years, giving birth to a child in the U.S. or foreign country) the father at this point according to the present interpretation does not have to be a citizen…Cruz= mother was born in Delaware MD. a citizen.. father in Cuba..non citizen, working in the oil fields in Canada..Ted was born in Canada!!! McCain.. Father in the military..born in Panama canal zone.. believe the mother was citizen!! O’bama.. born in ( Hawaii ???)mother U.S. citizen??? Father (Kenyan, non citizen)…the interpretation of the natural citizenship has never been interpreted by the scotus…Check it out ..my apologies if I am incorrect!!!

          • DoubleC

I am not a scholar, however I went to school in the 50’s when different things were being taught, so that colors my opinions quite a bit. I am under the impression that the founding father’s intended not to have foreign influence in the White House. In the effort to achieve this goal they wanted the President and Vice-President to have two parents born in the U.S. If this rule has been changed, I missed it, other than the fact that Obama has gotten away with it. And, in my opinion, he would be the primary reason for it to be in force.

          • 101Airborne

Thanks for the reply. I graduated in 57 from high school and agree with you completely.. The SCOTUS has never ruled on the subject according to the source that I read.. I have no idea how or who made the interpretation but will investigate the subject further.. politifacts.com was one of the sources on natural born citizens!!!

          • Fraginals5

Regardless, if she registered him at the American Embassy he is an American Citizen from birth. Elegible to be President?, I do not know.

          • Fraginals5

Ok. Obama is the son of an American Citizen and a Kenyan father, we don’t know where he was born. The Kenyan grandmother said she saw him being born. What is Obama? Why he is President?

          • pmbalele

What a dummy are you to say ‘If she registered him at the American Embassy’ That is speculation-which not evidence.

          • Jerry Hughes

You are abare faced liberal dem bloodsucing liar, aka American Jihadists, liar

          • pmbalele

          • pmbalele

Tell that to Republicans and FoxNews people. They have already disowned Cruz.

          • Jerry Hughes

Liberal dem scumbag, you lie like a dog trotting, every time a foot hits the ground out pops another lie.

          • pmbalele

That is your opinion. But you see the economy is now heating up 400,000 jobs were created last month. What say you!

          • Fraginals5

Minimum wage jobs? Why there are more people in welfare now than ever? Is that the sign of a good economy? or prosperity? Please do not believe what government said. Remember that this President is the worse liar in the history of the US.

          • pmbalele

We have people like you with mental problems. People like you find nothing good in a Black person. You were raised as bad people. You cannot even appreciate gas prices are now $1.68, people are spending more on cars, restaurants and are travelling. But you lazy ass are still whining why we have Black family in the WH. Too bad – please go and jump in the lake. We will pull you out before you crop. Maybe after that you brains will work normal.

          • Fraginals5

I am a Fox fan but what they say about Cruz is irrelevant if the facts contradict them.

          • 101Airborne

            HOPELESS–HOPELESS–HOPELESS– CAN YOU READ???

          • pmbalele

Have you ever met people who cannot reason? These are TPs and
Repubs. They have poisoned their heads now they ceased to think. May be it is you. Can you imagine being represented by a non-US citizen in the Senate? You morons would not question where this guy came from. He is a Canadian-Cuban.

          • 101Airborne

YES I HAVE MET PEOPLE WHO CANNOT REASON!! PLEASE TAKE A LOOK IN THE MIRROR AFTER REMOVING YOU HEAD FROM YOUR ASS.. DID YOU HAVE THE SAME REASONING WHEN YOUR MORON WAS IN THE SENATE!!!

          • pmbalele

I know you’re jealous. Stupid people like you were raised to despise Blacks. It’s too late now. You have live with us.

          • Fraginals5

Why Ted Cruz is not eligible to work?

          • JohnB

Once they come out of the shadows and figure out how much in taxes they will have to pay the shadows will fill up again, and they will still get the benefits. A lot of these illegals aren’t as stupid as you might think. How come everybody else in the country is racist except you?

          • pmbalele

I have talked to a lot people and friends in this country; but I have never seen stupid people like TPs and extreme Repubs. Do you know they follow like sheep-no reasoning but listen to their racist fathers and mothers denigrate Blacks and other racial minorities? Ask them why they do not like Obama administration. They will tell you they were told so by their mothers and close relatives. Dumb. In January this year they had Dr. Carson as their WH nominee. But they found out he was Black. They switched to Romney. They found out he was a Mormon and 24 grandchildren. Now they have switched to Bush III; but they hate him because he has a Latino wife. So Dr Carson is out. And you moron are calling me racist. Are you out of your mind?

          • JohnB

Of course I’m out of my mind. I’m white, think conservative, live in California, work in construction, drive an American car. The people you say you talk to must be children if they are still being influenced by their so called racist mothers and fathers. Apparently they can’t think for themselves. I interact with adults both at work and socially. Because I belong to a union most of the people I talk to on the job are democrats and support any democrat no matter what color. But they are also union sheeple and tow the union line, which backs any democrat that comes down the pike. Most of the other people I know are or were successful business owners in their own right and would not support a democrat no matter how much they were paid, or bribed. Oh by the way I didn’t call you a racist, but the way you come off is that anyone that doesn’t agree with your point of view is racist. I don’t know who they or them is. That is a broad brush term. I hadn’t heard about anyone being an official nominee yet . You must have inside information that nobody else has. Going around calling people stupid, racist, and morons does not make you any smarter.

          • pmbalele

I am proud that you drive an American brand. It’s a secret that I hate foreign brands however better looking than local brands. Have you noticed most Asian-Americans drive Japanese brands? That bothers me. I think they are prejudiced against American brands. Anyway now GM and Ford are now making quality cars and SUV. So my next car will be again an American Brand. I have been calling people foul names because they call our President names. So I am like an antidote to counter how these racist TPs and Repubs are spreading lies among themselves. President Obama has improved the economic, political and social status of this country. That is why I am enjoying my life with Obama as our President.

          • Karen Redd

And where in the world are gas prices $1.68? Wow.

          • JohnB

Huh? I don’t get the connection of my comment to gas prices.

          • Karen Redd

I don’t remember how you got that, I’m sorry, I was talking about pmbalele saying in his comment that he pays $1.68 for gas. That would be nice.

          • JohnB

I just found his/her rant where he/she said gas was $1.68. It’s way down the page. Disqus must have got the comments shuffled. He must not live in the USA, or maybe he/she meant he/she got gas from a burrito he/she paid $1.68 for. pmbalele sounds a little excitable.

          • Karen Redd

I needed a good laugh lol, thank you!

          • Karen Redd

I’m just curious, how does it feel to be an anti-American? You like illegals better than you do your own people? YOU are an anti-American.

          • pmbalele

Ted Cruz is a Cuban-Canadian. The only difference between him and other illegals is he has a Vermont accent. Stupid Texans accepted him for having no foreign accent like the illegals coming through S. border.

      • BHR

You committed a felony hiring the illegals. It is jerks like you who give American business a bad name. You are not paying any taxes on the employees, you need to be in prison. The IRS will be looking for you..

        • J_R_K

I suspect that if the current IRS is looking for this guy, it’s to give him a humanitarian of the year award with Barack Obamas autograph on it.

        • pmbalele

No. That is not a felony. Nobody was ripped off. I paid everybody. Those morons left me and I lost my contract. And I was paying above minimum wages. Illegals are here to stay. Survival of the fittest.

          • Karen Redd

And you are an anti-American without the tiniest shred of pride.

          • pmbalele

Remember all people in this country whether illegal or born here have rights under the 14th Amendment.

          • J_R_K

The 14th amendment granted citizenship to “all persons born or naturalized in the United States,”

“Naturalization is the process by which U.S.citizenship is granted to a foreign citizen or national after he or she fulfills the requirements established by Congress in the Immigration and Nationality Act ” (source: http://www.uscis.gov/us-citizenship/citizenship-through-naturalization)

Note: That says “after he or she fulfills the requirements established by Congress”. It does NOT sat “According to presidential fiat” or “According to opinions of individual citizens” and it certainly does NOT say “According to whoever wants to move in and take up residence”.

Illegals are not covered in that description. “naturalized” applies to legal immigrants, not illegal ones. Illegal means precisely that: illegal. In violation of the law. One who hires them is also in violation of the law.

          • pmbalele

I do not know where you got your law degree? Read the 14th amendments with its case laws.

          • J_R_K

I don’t have a law degree. I looked up the 14th amendment online, copied and pasted directly from it. It says what it says. Of course, liberals are always the first to holler “No, it doesn’t!”

I’m really not interested in researching every case that’s come up in regards to it. It says what it says and it was written for Americans.

Illegals have NO constitutional rights under the Constitution as they are not citizens of the United States. Is, after all, the constitution of the United States. It is not the United Nations charter.

If they are in the country in violation of the law, they are, by definition, criminals. While the issue of families is a complicated one, you have made it clear that your purpose for hiring illegals is not to re-unite families, it’s to make a profit, for yourself. You, sir, are also a criminal. That’s not just an insult for throwing at you, and is not intended as such. It’s an observation. It’s a fact. In any case, you clearly put yourself ahead of your country. You are a huge part of the problem, and you do what you do, according to you, for yourself. Yes, I know, you talk about them being people, regular people, but the bottom line is your only real concern is your bottom line. Americans are people, too, and you don’t really give a damn about that because there’s no profit in it for you.

What is it about you that makes me all but certain that you are a straight Democrat party line voter? LOL

          • pmbalele

If you don’t have a law degree and you don’t want to read the case law, then shut up. You cannot understand a law provision unless it written in plain language. But the 14th constitution is technical and therefore you have to read case laws to understand it better. Got it now!

          • J_R_K

The only thing I get from you is that my original assumption of your character was correct. If you are such a professional lawyer, why are you bitching about it being so hard to run a business in America that you have to violate the law and undermine your country to do it? Seems to me, Eric Holders office could pay you a better wage than your ever going to make hiring cheap, slave labor.

          • Drew Page

Yeas, unfortunately, even criminals have rights here in America. But maybe we should ignore that part of the Constitution the way Obama ignores our immigration laws.

          • Jerry Hughes

Not very smart are you scumbag?
The 14th amendment says only that if you are born here you are us citizen, a criminal alien has zero rights under the 14th, stupid.

          • 101Airborne

Whine= To complain or protest in a childish or annoying fashion… I, I, I, me, me, me, lost my contract.. whine,whine,whine.. The more posts I read from you the more annoying you get…I am now convinced, you’re a genuine scumbag!!!!

          • Karen Redd

            You and me both.

          • Drew Page

“Nobody was ripped off”…except the American taxpayers. You lost your contract, apparently you weren’t one of the fittest.

          • Jerry Hughes

You are dreaming liberal scumbag, they will be gone or in jail shortly and we will have people like you in jail.

        • Tomas dela Terra

On the contrary, it is jerks like YOU who force legitimate businesses to defy stupid laws

          • Karen Redd

Those laws aren’t, as you say “stupid,” they are American and the way it SHOULD be here. Stupid is thinking our laws should change because of illegals.

          • Tomas dela Terra

You couldn’t be MORE wrong Ms Redd. Narrow minded bigotry and Xenophobia has been around for centuries. It is NOT particularly American, but I’ll admit it seems to be headed that way!

The FACT is those laws which single out some individuals as “illegal” are invalid due to the fact they are clearly ‘unconstitutional’! STUPID is thinking our laws must reflect our individual biases and prejudices.

          • J_R_K

“Narrow minded bigotry and Xenophobia has been around for centuries.”

… so have arrogance and the attitude that you are owed something that you are not.

          • Karen Redd

            Thank you!

          • J_R_K

You’re welcome I couldn’t help myself. …..A perfect example of arrogance, stupidity and ignorance of not only the law and the United States Constitution, but also the reasons why law exists in the first place : ———–> “The FACT is those laws which single out some individuals as “illegal” are invalid due to the fact they are clearly ‘unconstitutional’! STUPID is thinking our laws must reflect our individual biases and prejudices.”… That has got to be the most self-righteous, sanctimonious and ignorant attitude I have heard from anyone short of Obama himself all day. (I’m sure I heard worse yesterday, and the day before, and the day before.. I just didn’t happen to turn on the “news” today).

          • Karen Redd

I miss the time when it was ‘peaceful’ here, we took things for granted. As opposed to now when there are things going on constantly that are too hard to pick which they are more- absolutely amazing, extremely enraging, …or heartbreaking that we’re having to watch it happen in our country.

          • J_R_K

You ever noticed, after a really bad thunderstorm, no matter how it rages, how everything smells fresh, clean and new when it’s over? Without those storms, there’d be no green trees, grass, no flowers, not even cute little bunny rabbits? Storms of all kinds are a part of life, but they all pass. This one will, too. Sure, there’ll be hard things to take and lots of noise, but storms do have a way of bringing back a measure of perfection. Who knows what will happen? Everything changes, but I have never seen, or heard about a hard time that didn’t have good times behind them. The November elections, even if they did not solve many problems (it’s really too early to tell, just yet) do indicate that Americans are “waking up”, getting involved. Our country has seen the revolutionary war, both world wars… imagine, what were people thinking when the Civil War wasn’t over in a few days like everyone thought it would be, when half a million Americans died, homes destroyed, hatred running rampant enough for brother to shoot at brother, fathers and sons on opposite sides of the war? What were Americans thinking the day Pearl Harbor was attacked, what were we thinking during the Cuban missile crises…. we could make a list a mile long of the times when Americans had reason to fear destruction… But we’re still here, still moving on.. Sometimes it seems that faith is just not enough, but every time that’s happened, faith made all the difference. When you count the things we’ve lost, count the blessings we have enjoyed. After every storm, there is a new day. Even if the storm lasts for years, like those wars, that new day is always there. And if not here on earth, then, assuming you believe the Bible, then in the next life, all will be made new, there’ll be no more sorrow, nor pain, nor tears. It may seem silly, but the most important thing in life to maintain in life perspective. I worry, too. But, for myself, if I have taken the good things of life and of my country for granted, it is because the Lord has always provided for me (I can promise, I don’t deserve it). I see no reason now to believe that He will not continue to do so, what ever happens.

          • Karen Redd

Your words paint a beautiful future ahead, sometime- and somewhere. Thanks, I needed that!

          • J_R_K

We all need a little encouragement from time to time. Me, too. I appreciate yours. Thank you … You wouldn’t believe some of the things people say to me on blogs… well, maybe you would… the truth is, there are times when I don’t paint such beautiful pictures for some… I think those folks who say us Geminis have dual personalities may be right. Sometimes, I have a tendency to hand out a good rabbit slapping, and at other times, I line myself up to take a good rabbit slapping… All I know is that the American spirit of faith has always come through. It’s an attitude that we have to keep alive. We are never beaten until we believe we are beaten. If we let that happen, the game is over. If we don’t let that happen, then there’s always more to come, chapters not yet written, and the outcome, when all we can say has been said and all we can do has been done, even if we forget it at times living from day to day, is the Lords.

          • Karen Redd

Well your response is such a nice breath of fresh air– WOW! There’s some weird people on here LOL!

          • J_R_K

“WOW! There’s some weird people on here”

Yeah … it’s even worse than the laundry mat.

          • Karen Redd

Imagine getting stuck with them AT a laundry mat!

          • J_R_K

Funny thing, did you ever notice that at the laundrymat, people don’t say a lot to you. They just kind of hang around and look weird. Maybe that’s because I’m a guy and they never wanted to talk to me because they thought only weird guys hang out in laundry mats. I remember, I did feel kind of weird hanging around in there.

          • Karen Redd

LOL, laundromats can be weird- I’ve been in some before that were pretty creepy- couldn’t get out fast enough. Pretty sad no SEC team will be in the first playoff huh? I sure hope Oregon wins.

          • J_R_K

I hate to admit it, but I’m afraid I don’t know enough about sports to understand the question, let alone answer it. Growing up, I was always the new kid on the block.. you know the one.. the one the other kids fought over.. He’s on YOUR team! No, he’s NOT! He’s on YOUR team! <—I was that kid… What's an SEC team? If it makes you happy, Karen, I hope Oregon wins, too… so, who are they playing?

          • Karen Redd

Lol you’re hilarious! And forgive my error, for some reason as soon as I got on here tonight I took it for granted it was you that I talked to about the game but I realize now it was someone else- a fellow Arkansan- sorry! The SEC is the southeastern conference, sadly Ohio State beat Alabama tonight so they will play Oregon now in the first college football playoffs- Oregon beat Florida State earlier today. Sorry! Forgive me for my mistake, I’m a football fan what can I say lol!

          • J_R_K

Uh…. what mistake was that? Hey, I confess, I do have a tendency to know something about just about everything, to come across as a bit of a know it all….. how were you supposed to know I couldn’t keep score at a football game if I got paid for it? LOL

I’ll tell you what.. if you ever do make a mistake and I spot it, I forgive you for it now, in advance. Of course, my memory is not what it used to be, so if that ever does come up, you might have to remind me that I already forgave you.

          • 101Airborne

            AMEN, EXCELLENT ADVICE!! JRK!!
            “ATTITUDE”

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.
Attitude to me is more important than facts.
It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do.
It is more important than appearance, giftedness,or skill.
It will make or break a company..a church..a home.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.
We cannot change our past.. we cannot change the fact that people will actin a certain way.
            We cannot change the inevitable.
The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude…I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.
And so it is with you…we are in charge of our “ATTITUDES”..

            ( Charles Swindoll )

Incorporate this thinking into your lives for a more peaceful existence!!!

          • J_R_K

Amen, Airborne…. by the way, I went to airborne school myself. Unfortunately, because of two bad PLFs that messed up my right shoulder, I was not able to graduate. That was in 1971. After the first one, I was “casual” for a week, work details, and tried to go it again while the shoulder was still a mess, then, another bad PLF and I washed out, hurt the same shoulder again. But, I know enough of what it took to make it through to know you did good. I remember, the armies first female Airborne graduate was from my home town, Sikeston, Mo. My hat’s off to her, I remember thinking, I’d be willing to bet a years pay that the black hat didn’t slap her on the head as often as he did me or say the things to her that he said to me. But, since I wasn’t there at the time, I really don’t know. Am I wrong?

          • 101Airborne

Thank you sir for your service..was a crazy young kid with little sense in the fifties, was just lucky.. no injuries.. got slapped around also, guess I was to young to know the difference, as I was from nine in the family and got slapped plenty for good reason.. My mom was five feet tall and one hundred pounds, she could hit you five times before you knew you were being hit.. never, ever would raise your hands even to protect yourself!!! Was at Ft. Campbell Ky. Westmoreland, Division Commander.. Ft. Benning Ga. Ranger aggressors,Harmony Church Area.. had a brother at Campbell and a nephew at Bragg N.C.. My son a Marine sniper, younger brother air force and another nephew flies the U2.. Have done some skydiving, you would love the soft landing ..no PLFs…was able to experience my first cut away after a malfunction, was unable to experience that while military jumping, under the threat of a Court Martial.. suggest you try it if you haven’t already… thanks again for your service and continued intelligent posts..Lots of female skydivers, none in our outfit at that time, although my sisters were good looking tough farm girls and have no doubts they could have hung in there…

          • J_R_K

Thank you also for your service.

My dad was a casualty of Vietnam. There were four of us kids. I was the 3rd. I enlisted first, then my older brother, then my older sister and my youngest sister married a sailor. My son has seen 3 tours in Iraq. He had wanted to be Top Gun, but his eyes weren’t good enough. So he joined the Army instead and ended up a forward observer, about which I know next to nothing except there wasn’t a lot of call for that in Iraq when he was there. I guess he spent some time looking for IEDs and who knows what else. I had a cousin who was airborne in Nam, but I don’t know much about his time in service. I do recall hearing that his unit made a large assault and more than half of them were hit before they hit the ground, but it’s been years since I heard the story, I don’t really recall any details. I also had two uncles in the Army, one who served in Nam and the other one, I don’t know, he died stateside early in life.

Sad to say, after washing out at Benning, I never got around to jumping. It just never came up. I can say this, though.. I could outrun any man in any unit I was in for the rest of my time in the service. You know how it is at Benning. You start running when you get off the bus and when you leave, you’re still running.. 10 minute break with a 4 minute run to the break area on your own time and a 4 minute run back, also on your own time.

Although I enlisted in Feb of 71, I never saw combat. I ended up in Alaska. After 18 months, got sent to El Paso, Tex. to an air cav unit. I wasn’t there long as I reenlisted and went back to Alaska. I disappoint myself that I can’t even remember the name of the unit in Texas. I remember that it was an air assault unit with a platoon of grunts lead by a sgt Grover. They called themselves Grover.s Rovers Grover was not a big man, and he talked like John Wayne. At first, I thought that was an act, but it turned out to be the real him and, based on my short time in his unit, I’d have to say he was just about the finest platoon leader I ever met. The unit had recently come stateside from Nam and it was the finest unit I ever served in.

During the 70’s the stateside soldiers and the real vets were two different kinds of people. The combat vets of that air cav unit were phenomenal soldiers. They had just come home from the jungles but were right at home in the Texas desert. After Alaska, some time at Ft. Riley, Ft McCoy, K2 airbase in an ASA unit, then to ft. Campbell for my last assignment.

I guess I rambled on a bit, but, nobody around here to share old army stories with.

          • 101Airborne

EXTREMELY SORRY ABOUT YOUR DAD!! VERY DIFFICULT TO HEAR AS I WAS NEVER IN COMBAT MYSELF, BUT HAD SEVERAL BUDDIES COME HOME SHOT UP ETC. FROM NAM.. KIND OF MADE ME FEEL INADEQUATE WHEELING THEM AROUND TO VARIOUS MILITARY MEETINGS ETC.. BROTHER BILLY JUST BURIED HIS GRANDSON.. DIED ON A MOTORCYCLE AT CAMP LEJEUNE N.C.. VERY SAD!!! COMBAT VETS ARE THE BEST!! GIVE YOUR WHOLE FAMILY A HUG FOR ME, AND THANK THEM ALL FOR THEIR SERVICE.. SINCERELY HOPE YOUR SON RETURNS SAFELY FROM IRAQ.. YOU TRAVELED AROUND QUITE A BIT!! NEVER BEEN TO ALASKA, BUT WANT TO VISIT SOME DAY WITH MY SON.. MY YOUNGEST SON PASSED AWAY ELEVEN YEARS AGO TODAY..THAT’S WHY I CAN FEEL YOUR HURT!!! NICE TO LISTEN TO YOUR FAMILY HISTORY..RAMBLE ON ANY TIME, BRINGS BACK MANY MEMORIES.. PLAYED POST FOOTBALL AT BENNING AND POST BASEBALL AT CAMPBELL.. TOURED THE THIRD ARMY AREA ” JOCKING”..TWENTY FOUR HOUR SPECIAL DUTY.. WAS GREAT WHILE IT LASTED… BLESS YOU ALL!!

          • J_R_K

My son has already returned from Iraq. He’s even done some time in Africa, in Kenya. He loved it in Kenya.. the jungle was a lot different from the desert. Also, he loved the people in Kenya. He has a great admiration for them, as a matter of fact. He says taht those who endure hardship and poverty do it with smiles on the faces and they’re happy most all the time When he came home, I was probably the only white man in the country with hand carved African statues, nicknacs and art work all over my living room. I have to admit, it was hard, having lost my dad in Nam, serving over 7 years myself, never seeing combat, to have to wait 3 times on my son to come home from Iraq. I can’t say I approve of the current commander in chiefs policy in Afghanistan, or of his pulling out of Iraq and flushing the sacrifices of our soldiers down the toilet, either, but I am glad not to have to worry about my son heading to Afghanistan.

If you want to head to Alaska some day, I recommend you try to plain your days around June 21st, the summer solstice. That time of the year in Fairbanks, it never gets hotter than 80 or cooler than 50. It’s got to be the most beautiful place on the planet. I used to camp out on the Salcha river. The sun doesn’t set that time of year, so I had to keep an eye on my watch to know what day it was so I didn’t end up awol on Mondays. You get up in the morning, fry up some fresh fish, potatoes and eggs on a campfire, the water in the river was so clean and clear you could see the rocks on the bottom and the fish swimming all the way across. You could stick your face in it and drink your fill right out of the river. During our field problems, a couple of times we flew up river in the hueys just for good times. I hated my first year up there, got there in December. But, after 3 years, it was the only place in the world I’ve ever missed like a woman. I sure hated to leave.

I don’t know about you, but I always had mixed feelings about the army. Some things I hated, some things I loved. If I had to go back in today, I would, but if I had it all to do over again at age 18, I think I’d go to college instead. LOL

Sorry to hear about your son. Life has it’s hard times, but I can’t imagine anything that would be harder than loosing a son or a daughter. I guess it would be even harder around Christmas time. My old man died the same day Robert Kennedy was assassinated.

I’m so sorry about your dad, God bless him and all those we lost in a war that it took our government thirty frigging years to FINALLY acknowledge what proud heroes our soldiers were. My brother was Marine Corps in Nam, my dad was a Marine also. How our soldiers now are being ignored are absolutely appalling, and it blows me away trying to imagine how they must feel watching obola try as hard as he can to destroy the precious country they are risking their lives to protect. …and now the same applies to our police officers. God bless them and I say thank you you are my hero to every one.

          • J_R_K

No matter who we are or what we do, for the vast majority of it, it’s just a matter of time before we are forgotten. This was written on the eve of the original Gulf War. Consider that it was written for your dad , your brother, and all their comrades in arms.

Freedom Soldier from the past, lie at peace within your grave,
Safe from those who mocked at what you bought with what you gave.
It’s a thing still unseen by some, it’s true,
But Freedom Soldier, there are so many who have such great love for you.
As you lie now with your comrades beneath white stones at rest
Believe that there are those who know you were our very best.

Surely, we have seen confusion, and yet we live in troubled times
But it is you around whom our hearts begin again to bind.
Freedom Soldier from the past, you who died on the deltas,
In the jungles, in fields of rice,
Of all our nations sons, surely it was you
            Who paid the greatest price.
We let you think you fought and died in vain
And we were shamed, it’s true.
But our nation has a healing heart today
Because after all, we do remember you.

            Freedom Soldier from the past,
Lie at peace within your grave
For surely, it is you who gives to us
            The strength we need today.

            _______________________________
Time moves on, other soldiers will be forgotten. All we can do about that is to be sure WE don’t forget, to speak up when it is necessary and right to do so, to honor the flag and the country that they fought and died for, to honor them when we have opportunity … and on those occasions when the country moves in a direction of dishonor, to fight here at home as best we can for the return to the principles, ideas and faith that gave us what honor we once knew and the men and women who were willing to lay down their lives for it. As for police officers… while soldiers fight our battles in other parts of the world, it is the police and other law enforcement officers who defend their families and ours here at home. We should honor them as well.

That is absolutely beautiful and had to come right from the heart- I know it sure touched mine.
            Thank you so much.

Sorry Ms Redd, the LAST thing you should miss is the time “we took things for granted” THAT is the very essence of indoctrination!

It comes down to this, we are witnesses for the worst period of America. There is danger all around from our foreign enemies and at the same time a huge Fifth Columnist movement has all but paralyzed this nation and has stopped all laws and activities to reflect the benefit of its citizens. We do not need to stand idly by as what is left of our country is done away, we can fight. We can own weapons and we can fight. That is an alternative that our Founding Fathers saw as an option. Now most of us believe we have time and peaceful ways to change the direction we are headed without fighting. That is possible but will require great sacrifice. Once your employer finds out that you are a patriot, you may not be employed any longer. Certainly if you work for government at any level you are in danger if you speak out or if you work in a liberal big city or for a major corporation. So, there you have it, acts of disobedience to the New World Order are still possible and may encourage others to strike back for our freedom.

          • Karen Redd

We HAVE to believe that repubs will stand up for our country now that they can- AND GET RID OF BOEHNER! We have to believe that they will protect OUR COUNTRY, and prevent obola from destroying it like he wants to so bad. And hope and pray that we can come up with somebody to beat hillary- and God help U.S. if we can’t.

          • Jerry Hughes

Here is one for you liberal dem bloodsucker aka American Jihadist.
We have laws in this country that prescribe the way that you can come to and live in this country`.
Feb. of 2017, we will see that Obama, Holder, Lerner, Sibellius go in front of Federal Grand Jury only partially becuse of the laws they have broken on Amenety.
You and the people like will cease breaking those laws at that point, or we will arrest and try you for aiding and abetting criminal aliens, that does include the ministers and priests handouting out sanctuary as well as thois e memmber of municipal and state governmnets passing laws that aid and abet criminal aliens.
All of the above assumes that the decent people do not ompkletely lose patience with the liberal dem bloodsuckers aka American Jihadists and open a civil war.,
And my friend, right now, I would not bet agianst that at all.

          • J_R_K

I think you clicked on the wrong “reply” button when you posted this addressed to me. Either that, or you have fallen off some deep end somewhere if you think that’s me. LOL

“Here is one for you liberal dem bloodsucker aka American Jihadist.”…. …. That ain’t me. LOL

I mean, God bless America. God Bless those who call upon the name of the Lord (the real one, not the current pretender) God bless Ronald Reagan and every one smart enough to know he wasn’t a “mean spirited Nazi” And God bless the Tea Party.

Last but not least: God bless every American who was smart enough to see a the character of a pied piping, anti-American wolf in sheep’s clothing beneath Barack Obama’s idolized skin color.

What kind of a liberal dem bloodsucking jihadist (American or otherwise) would say things like that?

I think you’re pretty much right in what you said, in spite of your apparent anger management problem (liberal dem bloodsucking jihadists, American or other wise do that to me sometimes, too) but you said it to the wrong guy.

            LOL

          • Tomas dela Terra

Can you tell us where, exactly do you plan to put all the concentration camps?

Re; Your threat of “civil war”! BRING IT ON! I’m saving one loaded banana clip just for you!

            HOW ABOUT YOUR BACK YARD!!!!!!

          • Tomas dela Terra

Man, you REALLY think small. My back yard wouldn’t hole even 1/1000th of those “political prisoners” on your “unwanted” list!

          • Tomas dela Terra

Is there a point here? Please point out where and when I claimed that I am owed anything! (Other than life, liberty and the pursuit of truth and understanding)

          • J_R_K

I don’t know that you do believe anyone owes you anything. But you are defending those who do, and accusing those who reject that kind of thinking of narrow minded bigotry and xenophobia and stupidity. Also, you claim that illegals are not illegals is ignorant, and just another claim of people who think they are owed something that they are not. FYI, my own sweetheart is Mexican, born in the United States and my daughter in law is a citizen of Mexico. here in this country through legal process that cost my son thousands of dollars and years to accomplish. I happen to think the world of both of those ladies, and of my half Mexican grandson. So while you do disservice to Americans by calling us bigots and xenophobes (blah, blah, blah) because we don’t believe foreigners have the right to violate our countries immigration and naturalizations laws and invade the hell out of us at our expense while we are trying to make a living and raise our own families, and dishonoring people who immigrate here through honest, legal process by arguing that illegals are not illegal, you’re just another smoke blowing mouth piece of arrogant ignorance advocating for “somebody owe me something” that they don’t on behalf of people who are clearly in the country illegally.

I know family situations make things difficult. I also know that if you let every one in the world climb on board even the worlds largest ship, it’s going to sink and everybody drowns, and that is EXACTLY what is happening to the United States right now and it has to stop.

As far as I am concerned, there are two kinds of people in the world. Those who are American and those who are not. If you are an American and you’re a jerk, I don’t like you (Not personal reference to you, just relating my “xenophobic” philosophy for you) Anyone wanting to come here and be an American through our legal process is welcome. I have nothing against anyone from outside the US unless you are a criminal an invader or an enemy of my country. Anyone in this country illegally and/or working towards setting up a greater subculture of any kind is all three, criminal, invader and enemy.

I have no desire to argue this further with you. I am not interested in going back through history with you and hearing all about how the US stole land from the Mexicans, unless you are interested in talking about how Mexico and the rest of Latin American needs to give back the land they took from the Mayans, the Aztecs, the Incas, the Apache, Comanches and the multitude of other tribes that the Spaniards invaded.

As far as I am concerned, this is the end of this discussion. I don’t really care what you think and I will not answer you again.

          • Tomas dela Terra

J-R-K; “I don’t know that you do believe anyone owes you anything. But you are defending those who do, and accusing those who reject that kind of thinking of narrow minded bigotry and xenophobia and stupidity.”

The ONLY people I am defending are those people who are owed the same respect and the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of of happiness that I expect and a natural human being.

Unfortunately, you seem unable to discern the difference between those who only expect to receive the benefits of liberty and those who expect the benefits from the work of OTHERS

Not ONLY are they NOT the same people they are NOT even the people that you and others have confused with (or erroneously defined as criminal aliens.

CLAIM: “More than 43 percent of all food stamps are given to illegals”.

FACT: In March 2012, the most recent month for which figures are available, a total of 46.4 million people received food stamps, so 43 percent of that number would be slightly less than 20 million. According to the Pew Hispanic Center, there were an estimated 11.2 million illegal immigrants in the United States in 2010.

So it’s mathematically impossible for more than 43 percent of all food stamps to be given to illegals. And this doesn’t take into account an even more basic reality: It is against the law for Illegal immigrants to receive food stamps.

CLAIM; :Playing to uninformed prejudice, some groups falsely suggest that immigrants are “takers”—people who use more public benefits than other groups—and that as a result, legalization would cost the United States trillions of dollars.

FACT: Immigrants are in fact “makers,” not takers. Even undocumented immigrants pay taxes.

A 2011 study by the Institute for Taxation and Economic Policy found that undocumented immigrants paid $11.2 billion in state and local taxes in 2010 alone, adding a significant amount of money to help state and local finances. It is important to note that immigrants—even legal immigrants—are barred from most social services, meaning that they pay to support benefits they cannot receive

In PURE FACT, Immigrants keep the Social Security solvent. According to the National Foundation for American Policy, immigrants will add a net of $611 billion to the Social Security system over the next 75 years. Immigrants are a key driver of keeping the Social Security Trust Fund solvent, and Stuart Anderson of the National Foundation for American Policy finds that cutting off immigration to the country would increase the size of the Social Security deficit by 31 percent over 50 years

A case in point; about twenty-five years ago, I had to return to California to sell some property that I owned, While there, I took a temporary job to cover my expenses. That was when I discovered that I had lost my social security card; so I went to the SS Office to get a new one.
To my surprise, I was informed that during my ten year absence, three different individuals had used MY social security and to my surprise, THEIR social security taxes were deposited in MY SS Account.

The fact remains; increased immigration is a consequence of increasing economic activity, NOT a reason for its decline.

Your analogy to an overcrowded.ship, misses the mark by 180 degrees.

“The ONLY people I am defending are those people who are owed the same respect and the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of of happiness that I expect and a natural human being.”

Not under our constitution, they’re not. Not if they think they can just flood in, IN VIOLATION OF THE LAW no matter what the consequences to our country.

I didn’t bother to read the rest of your post. I already know what you think, and I don’t respect it any more than you respect me, my country, the law, or common sense. People like you who think you can moralize every issue (well, you and Obama) and make other people out to be the bad guys because they don’t dance to what ever tune you are piping just really need to grow up. In a perfect world, every thing would be perfect for every one. But, this isn’t a perfect world. That’s why we have law in this country. How is the law doing south of the border? Pretty lousy deal down there, isn’t it? Why don’t you go down there and do your moralizing preaching.

          • Drew Page

Strange, I don’t recall your appointment to the Supreme Court of the U.S. Please point to the Supreme Court case where it was decided that our immigration laws are unconstitutional.

You are confusing the word “fact” with the word “opinion”. If some one breaks a law, they are committing an illegal act. If someone enters the United States illegally, they can correctly be called “illegal aliens”. That is a “fact”, not an “opinion”. You have neither the authority, nor the ability to determine what is or is not constitutional…and STUPID is thinking that you do.

          • Jerry Hughes

That was an exeptiionally stupid post Please point out the area of the constitution that prohibits this country from setting up laws prescribing the way to become an American Citizen if yiu are not born here, liar.

          • JohnB

Maybe we should have smart laws about illegal immigration like Cuba, Mexico, North Korea etc.

          • 101Airborne

Don’t like our laws…go back to the HOLE from whence you crawled!!!!

You sir, are a disgrace to the ‘Screaming Eagles”

          • Jerry Hughes

And you sir are a liberal dem bloodsuckers, without merit, worth, value morals honor or integrity. Feb of 2017 the chance sra excellent, that you will be facing a Grand Jury for aidind and abetting criminal aliens.

          • 101Airborne

AND WHERE DID YOU SERVE ASSHOLE..THE SAME PLACE AS THE MORON THAT OCCUPIES THE W.H.??????

          • Tomas dela Terra

I served 3 years, 2 months and 27 days in the US Army. (Dec. 1959 to Mar, 1963). I was in Japan for 27 months, with three separate TDY deployments to Vietnam.(over a year BEFORE the alledged
            ‘Gulf of Tonkin Incident”

          • 101Airborne

Should have spent more time studying the constitution and focusing on the word ” patriotism”, and less on whining about the laws you don’t want to follow!!! Try working on your own character and less on trying to tear someone elses character down.. If you did in fact serve, “thank you for your service”.. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but not their own facts.. If you don’t like a law, petition your representatives to change them..don’t just break them to suit yourself.. I am surprised you didn’t learn that in the military!!!!

          • Tomas dela Terra

On the contrary, YOU should have spent more time learning to think for yourself and not have succumbed to ‘group think! If you HAD, you wouldn’t be so quick to assume that non-conformance with the group mentality is some kind of moral deficiency.

You can bet your life on the fact that I leaned a lot more than robotic obedience to authority!!!
I learned that the government lies, routinely, and our ‘superiors’ (sic) are mostly bureaucratic sycophants

How do you rectify your statement that “everyone is entitled to their own opinion”; but not to whether or not the official doctrine is indeed, FACT?

Further, why do you presume that I and those whom I associate with, politically; have NOT tried to ‘petition’ and pressure our, (aledged) elected officials to repeal offensive laws?

Your definition of “patriotism” seems more like abject submission to authority than genuine conviction.

          • 101Airborne

Thinking for yourself or whining for yourself like a little juvenile child not getting your own way…can’t accept our society and the fact that laws are enforced in a civilized society and you define that as “group thinking” shows me that you have zero continuity of intelligent thought..not worth debating..your all over the ballpark with your thinking process… first of all I presumed nothing..and submit to no one but God!! I didn’t assume that our government doesn’t lie..they do,all the time…patriotism is devotion to one’s own country and concern for it’s defence.. something wrong with that mentality??? offensive laws, offensive because you don’t want to follow them …Why don’t we just go back to the wild west where everybody justifies their actions to suit themselves.. I need more money, so I justify robbing a bank, you justify hiring illegals because you don’t feel that you can run a business as immigration laws hamper your style.. If you question patriotism and the concept, why were you in the military and as you describe ” submit to authority “?? You subjected yourself to military law,so in your own identification of non conformance with group mentality, you could be considered morally deficient.. Did you petition or pressure the commanding officers to change military laws that you deemed oppressive??? I think not!! Have a good day!!! I do have genuine convictions and follow the laws of the land for the good of the society as a whole, not for selfish reasons….

          • Drew Page

So you get to decide which laws are stupid? No one forces legitimate businesses to hire illegal aliens. those who do hire illegal aliens are no longer “legitimate”. I suppose I can’t blame you for thinking that it’s OK to break the laws you think are “stupid”, you are merely following Obama’s example. Obama should know better because he claims to have been a lawyer and a “Constitutional scholar”. For some reason, he no longer has a license to practice law. Some say it is because he was less than truthful when he he answered “NO” to the question “Have you ever used another name than the one on this application?” on his application for a license to practice law. I guess Mr. Obama felt this was a “stupid” question, so his answer shouldn’t really matter. He feels much the same about our immigration laws.

          • Tomas dela Terra

One thing is perfectly clear: most of the folks on this list are so filled with hatred and have their minds closed and clocked like a bank safe. BUT:

(I realize this is long, but there is a lot of information SOME on this list will benefit from!)

President Obama has announced his much rumored-about plan to protect several million undocumented immigrants from deportation. I have explained in several places why this plan does not violate the Constitution, and is indeed a routine exercise of the president’s enforcement authority under the Constitution, one that his predecessors have used as well. But it’s certainly jarring to many people who ask, reasonably: If the president can refuse to enforce immigration law, what stops a future president from refusing to enforce tax, environmental, or health laws? Immigration law is special, and it is worth explaining why.

America has a huge and insatiable hunger for cheap labor—workers to mind the kids, trim the hedges, pick strawberries, and slaughter chickens. But the United States also has numerous laws that make labor expensive. These laws impose minimum wages and maximum hours, give workers the right to unionize, and protect them from unsafe conditions. They also provide welfare to those who don’t work, and many people prefer no job to a menial job. The result is that few American workers will do the really cheap labor that so many households, factories, and farms demand.

Foreigners, however, will. In Mexico, 40 million people earn less than $2,000 a year. They can migrate to the United States and earn 10 or 15 times that amount even if they work off the books. True, they cannot form unions or complain if the workplace is unsafe, but life is still better than back home. The laws that matter are the laws of supply and demand, as a result of which 11 million people reside illegally in the United States.

Many people who feel threatened by legal immigration have been able to live with this system of illegal labor. Because undocumented immigrants are denied social services, Americans don’t pay taxes to support them. Because they do menial jobs, they don’t undercut the wages of most American workers. Because they can’t vote, they can’t get these rules changed through political action.

This “illegal immigration system” might seem to be mutually beneficial—they get jobs, we get cheap labor—but it is unstable. The people who come to work here for cheap wages often settle permanently and become integrated in communities that include American citizens. They intermarry or they arrive as an American’s parent, sibling, or child. The natural sort of sympathy toward the laboring poor that animated many of the protective laws for Americans has led to political pressure to extend the laws to undocumented immigrants as well. People feel uneasy that a large group of second-class citizens resides on our soil. Hence the constant drumbeat from many quarters for a pathway to citizenship.

But to give undocumented immigrants citizenship is to acknowledge that they are entitled to it, and that the “illegal immigration system” is unjust. The current system violates deeply ingrained American principles, which hold that everyone should receive equal protection of the law. That is why the obvious solution to illegal immigration—a lawful guest-worker system—is opposed by nearly everyone, but especially liberals, who see it as institutionalizing a caste system. Indeed, countries that use formal guest-worker systems—like the Persian Gulf countries—are routinely accused of exploiting and abusing migrant workers, of maintaining a caste system or even a system of de facto slavery, of violating human rights law, even though those workers benefit massively from wages much higher than they could earn at home.

The contradiction between ideological opposition to guest workers and the huge demand for cheap foreign labor is the key to the present controversy. To avoid the appearance of a legally recognized caste system while allowing one to exist in reality, Congress has given nearly full legal rights to legal immigrants and passed tough laws to keep everyone else out—while appropriating far too little money to enforce them. This throws to the executive the task of deciding whom to enforce the laws against. Because Congress appropriates only enough money to deport 400,000 people per year out of 11 million, the president by necessity must pick and choose whom to deport. It’s no surprise that for decades every president has deported mainly criminals while leaving most everyone else alone.

For example, in 2014, immigration authorities deported 368,644 people, which may sound like a lot. But 98 percent of them were criminals, were caught just after entering, or had engaged in various serious forms of immigration fraud. The probability of a noncriminal undocumented alien living in the interior being deported is less than 1 in 1,000.

Nor does the government put much pressure on employers. In 2012, immigration authorities fined only 495 employers for illegally hiring undocumented aliens; the aggregate fines amounted only to $12.5 million, a pittance when you consider that 8 million unauthorized migrants are employed. (Republicans might be interested to know that zero employers were fined in 2006 and two employers were fined in 2007, under the Bush administration.)

Thus, the president’s discretion to enforce the immigration laws has always been the cornerstone of a de facto guest-worker (or, if you want, caste) system from which most Americans have greatly benefited. That’s why Republicans’ claim that the president is shredding the Constitution sounds so odd to people knowledgeable about immigration law. He’s just doing what countless Congresses have wanted him to do, and have effectively forced him to do, so that Congress itself could avoid charges that it has created a two-tier system of citizenship where the bottom tier is allowed to stay in this country and work, but is not allowed to vote, to benefit from welfare programs, to travel freely, or to enjoy the full protection of workplace laws. Of course, you might say that the whole illegal immigration system, with its two-tier system of rights, violates the Constitution or at least constitutional values, but the fault for that lies with Congress, not with the president.

However; President Obama is soon expected to take a step toward fixing our broken immigration system by issuing an executive order to halt deportations of undocumented immigrants whose children are U.S. citizens. Republicans, including Speaker of the House John Boehner and new Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, have threatened reprisals against such an order. But one thing is clear: The president has the constitutional authority to decide to not proceed with deportations. It has always been within the president’s discretion to decide whether to have the Department of Justice enforce a particular law. As the Supreme Court declared in United States v. Nixon, “the Executive Branch has exclusive authority and absolute discretion to decide whether to prosecute a case.”

A president may choose to not enforce particular laws when deciding how to allocate scarce resources or based on his view of the best public policy. Few object, for example, when the Department of Justice does not prosecute those who possess small amounts of marijuana, even though they violated the federal Controlled Substance Act. There are countless federal laws that go unenforced. In 1800, then congressman and later Chief Justice John Marshall stated, the president may “direct that the criminal be prosecuted no further” because it is “the exercise of an indubitable and constitutional power.”

The president’s broad prosecutorial discretion has been repeatedly recognized by the courts. In 2013, Judge Brett Kavanaugh of the D.C. Circuit, appointed by George W. Bush, offered a strong defense: “The president may decline to prosecute certain violators of federal law just as the president may pardon certain violators of federal law,” Judge Kavanaugh wrote. “The president may decline to prosecute or may pardon because of the president’s own constitutional concerns about a law or because of policy objections to the law, among other reasons.”

officials,” the Court wrote, adding that “[t]he dynamic nature of relations with other countries requires the Executive Branch to ensure that enforcement policies are consistent with this Nation’s foreign policy with respect to these and other realities.” In a similar 1941 case, Hines v. Davidowitz, the Supreme Court voided a Pennsylvania system of alien registration because “experience has shown that international controversies of the gravest moment, sometimes even leading to war, may arise from real or imagined wrongs to another’s subjects inflicted, or permitted, by a government.”

Indeed, presidents of both parties have tailored immigration policy to their own goals. In 1987, the Reagan administration took executive action to limit deportations for 200,000 Nicaraguan exiles, even those who had been turned down for asylum. Similarly, President George H.W. Bush in 1990 limited deportations of Chinese students and in 1991 kept hundreds of Kuwait citizens from being deported. President Bill Clinton regularly used his power of prosecutorial discretion to limit deportations; in 1993 he gave 18-month extensions to Salvadoran residents, in 1997 he limited deportations for Haitians, and in 1998 he limited deportations to Central American counties that had been devastated by hurricanes.

This prosecutorial discretion is even greater in immigration because the treatment of foreign citizens is inextricably intertwined with the nation’s foreign affairs, an area especially under the president’s control. For example, the Supreme Court’s decision in 2010 to overturn large parts of Arizona’s restrictive immigration law, SB1070, was premised on the executive branch’s need for discretion in the immigration context. “A principal feature of the removal system is the broad discretion exercised by immigration officials,” the Court wrote, adding that “[t]he dynamic nature of relations with other countries requires the Executive Branch to ensure that enforcement policies are consistent with this Nation’s foreign policy with respect to these and other realities.” In a similar 1941 case, Hines v. Davidowitz, the Supreme Court voided a Pennsylvania system of alien registration because “experience has shown that international controversies of the gravest moment, sometimes even leading to war, may arise from real or imagined wrongs to another’s subjects inflicted, or permitted, by a government.”

          • Drew Page

Obama has done more than just announced his plans to “protect” illegal aliens; he has written an Executive Order deferring their deportation. You can call them “undocumented immigrants” if you like, but they are illegal aliens that broke our immigration laws. Obama violated his oath of office to “faithfully enforce the laws of the United States”.

Your comment that “the laws of that matter are the laws of supply and demand” is not only erroneous, it is childish. All of our laws matter, even the ones that you or the president don’t like. YOU say the laws of immigration are “special”, whatever that is supposed to mean. On what authority do you make that statement, your feelings, your emotions? You speak of illegal aliens as willing to do work other Americans won’t do. First of all, you don’t know that for a fact. Second, the jobs that legal American citizens will or won’t do is irrelevant. Just because people are poor doesn’t give them the right to break the law. It doesn’t matter how little Mexican citizens make in Mexico. There are hundreds of millions of people in the world who are as bad off or worse than poor Mexicans. Legal American taxpaying citizens don’t have the means or the responsibility to provide for them. Regardless of what you believe, illegal aliens do receive social services; they get food stamps, rent subsidies, they are treated in hospital emergency rooms without charge because they have no insurance or money to pay and hospitals must treat them. Their children are put into our public schools that legal American citizens must pay for through property taxes. Their criminal element and gang bangers sell drugs and kill innocent people in shoot outs. To deal with this criminal element of illegal aliens, American taxpayers must pay for more police, pay for prosecutors, defense attorneys and for their incarceration.

You speak of a “guest worker” program. But what happens when the guest workers start having children here in America? Those children are now American citizens and all those “guest workers” now claim they have a right to stay here with their anchor babies. And as “American citizens” those anchor babies are entitled to every social welfare benefit that exists, despite the fact that their parents paid for any of them.

You speak of a huge demand for cheap foreign labor. That may be true of American businesses, but it is not true of legal American citizens who are out of work and complaining of businesses that outsource labor to other countries because it is cheaper. It is not true of American unions that have seen a decline in union membership because their jobs have been outsourced to other countries. It is not true for those Americans who actually pay federal income taxes (53% of wage earners) that have to pay for the social welfare and government assistance programs that more than 50% of illegal aliens receive.

You speak of presidential discretion and prosecutorial discretion in enforcing our laws. Both the president and the Attorney General, in their oaths of office, to “faithfully execute and enforce the laws of the United States”, not just the laws they like, but all laws.. The failure of former presidents to do, be they Democrat or Republican, does not make it acceptable for others to follow that example.

Illegal immigration is causing real problems to America and the legal citizens of America who must bear the economic and social burdens of it. We have a legal immigration process in this country. It may be cumbersome, frustrating and time consuming, but it is legal. If you don’t like the immigration laws, get your Congressman and Senator to change it through the Constitutional legislative process, not by presidential fiat.

          • Karen Redd

Blah blah blah… my initial thought to negate any justification YOU THINK you can come up with, is what pisses me off enough to have a really bad attitude FOR LIFE. And if you did serve in the military you should feel the same way. And that is seeing the ILLEGALS not just put mexico’s flag over ours at their rallies BUT THEY SET OURS ON FIRE. OMG. And they want to be an American citizen? BS. Any one of those ILLEGALS that do that I would love to spit in their face as they are being kicked out of OUR country.

          • Tomas dela Terra

Ms Redd wrote “Blah blah blah”

This may be the most articulate statement you have yet made. Clearly you put everyone and everything into identical boxes based entirely on irrelevant and immaterial factors.

Do you seriously believe that all blacks (or even most) are cop killers, that all cops (or even most) are black killers? That those immigrants who burn the stars and strips are the same ones who want to be American citizens?

Clearly, your ARE pissed off, but you can;t blame your bad attitude on anything but your own bigotry!

          • Jerry Hughes

You are not a legitimate business if you employ criminal aliens, stupid.

          • BHR

You are just like OBAMA, you only follow the laws you like.

          • Tomas dela Terra

L.O.L. enough with the silly comparisons. YOU are just like Obama, you put your pants on, one leg at a time. You even put your shoes on one foot at a time!

It has NOTHING to do with whether or not I “like” the laws or not. I has EVERYTHING to do with whether 1. It penalizes me for violating the rights and property of others OR, 2. It penalizes others for violating MY rights and property.

Laws are NOT items on the menu!

          • Tomas dela Terra

I believe I’ve already responded to this sillyness, but, just in case; it isn’t whether I “like” a law or not. It’s whether or not that law violates the civil rights/liberties of anyone subject to the laws of the United States or the ‘several states’.

Further, it isn’t up to Congress to enforce the laws it passes. It IS up to the executive, subject to its discretion on how, when and IF it will act in regard to any specific legislation by Congress.

……see Marbury v Madison (1803) which held that “Section 13 of the Judiciary Act of 1789 is unconstitutional to the extent it purports to enlarge the original jurisdiction of the Supreme Court beyond that permitted by the Constitution. Congress cannot pass laws that are contrary to the Constitution, and it is the role of the Judicial system to interpret what the Constitution permits.”

      • J_R_K

Blah, blah, blah and yadda, yadda, yadda… there are far too many holes in what you present as truth and reality to even try and address them. All I can say is that I’d be willing to bet that someone as narrow minded as you evidently are can see through a keyhole with both eyes at the same time.

        • pmbalele

You do not know what these employers go through with employees. Have you been pointed a gun on you because a check is late?

          • J_R_K

I do have some idea what you go through. First, you are required to hire and promote people that you already know aren’t worth a damn because of their skin color or gender… coming soon, because of how they choose to achieve orgasm. You already know you can’t count on them and the first chance they get, they’ll accuse you of racism, sexism or favoritism. To get rid of them, you have to put up with their crap for months, maybe even years until you have enough on them to make it stick in a court of law. In America, where we used to be proud of “an honest days work for an honest dollar” as every man’s motto, today, if there was an “every man’s motto” it would be “The boss can afford it” while they break equipment, waste materials and take every possible advantage of any kind of opportunity to lay down on the job. You take advantage of the working people because you have to get the job done and you already know that most employees are going to half-ass whatever you give them. You (at least until recently) are required to pay for their health care, give them paid holidays and match their social security deductions from your own overhead. You have your hands tied with regulations and it’s damn near impossible to get anything done and done right the first time. Regulations, taxation and constant harassment of one kind or another from unions make you wish you could set up business south of the border.

But, rather than fight it out by standing up to all those challenges, you say “Thank God President Obama has enables these illegals to come out the shadows. Now they will pay tax and receive all benefits as regular people” …. failing to realize that once those people become fully “Americanized” they’ll be EXACTLY the same as the ones you refused to hire in order to hire them. You may get by for a while, but in the end, you’ll end up holding the same empty bag and will have helped throw away the opportunity to stop the process of the degradation of the American work ethic and turn things back around..

Having said all that, while I’m not totally sure I blame you, the first step in getting good help is by getting rid of bad help.. but replacing bad help with help that will become just as bad is a bandaid on the problem, it is not a solution. It’s not easy with the government dictating everything it can to you and seeking always to dictate even more. But step one is get rid of bad help (for starters, that is anyone who is in the country illegally, anyone doing drugs, anyone failing to show up according to a fair schedule, anyone who fails to put in honest effort.. and yes, that can be very difficult, almost impossible) and step two is continue to fire and hire until you can put together a decent crew, or staff. It sucks, but contributing to the problem only makes it harder on other employers and the rest of the country.

While I have never owned a business that required employees, I spent many years in a supervisory capacity. If I learned nothing else, I learned that every employee wants to feel good about themselves and what they do. Giving most people a 10 dollar an hour wage increase these days will not get better performance from them (maybe for a short while, but they’ll go back to their old ways soon enough). A wise supervisor, or employer, will recognise that while money is important to everyone, money is not all it takes to make an employee feel validated. You may be the boss, but you have to work with people as they are, not as you wish they were, and if you can learn to do that instead of griping and complaining about them all the time (even if you are right in what you say) then you can perhaps build in them a sense of loyalty. Even the illegal who works for less money, in the end, is loyal only to his paycheck. The trick is to get people to be loyal to your and your company. That must be done in order to succeed beyond a short period of years.

Have you ever read “How to win friends and influence people”, (Dale Carnegie… I believe Carnegie courses are still available, you should find out) “Confidence and power in dealing with people” (I think Les Giblin) or “The greatest miracle in the world” by Og Mandino? Books like that can make a success out of you while you make successful employees out of people. Business is not just about production, receipts and bottom lines on paper. It’s about people. The problem is, Americans are giving up on lots of things these days.. honor, integrity, respect, work ethic, faith, family… you name it.. people are giving up. If you continue to hire illegals instead of Americans, you also are giving up, whether you know it or not. You’re giving up on Americans, on America, on everything that made the country the great land of opportunity that it is supposed to be.

I’ll finish with a quote from, if I remember right, F. W. Woolworth: “I’d rather have one person working for me than 100 working against me.” Woolworth knew how to get the loyalty of that one. That skill, like any other, can be learned.

          • pmbalele

You are too much in bookieshmanagement theories than in practice. Those books are old and they don’t apply what is happening today.

          • J_R_K

Hey… for starters, I believe I owe you an apology for my initial responses to your posts. I assumed you were just another jerk posting to cause trouble. You could have responded in anger, but you didn’t. That means that my comments to you were uncalled for and out of line. I apologize… sometimes, I can see through a keyhole with both eyes at the same time myself… I think that’s part of being human.

Having said that…. I know the practice is difficult. But I also know that to build a successful business requires one to learn to build people and to do that requires that one build himself first…. nothing wrong with good books. “The only two things that will change your life are the people you meet and the books you read”…. as difficult as it can be, people skills come ahead of success, not just in books, but in practice. If you have never read How to win friends and influence people by Dale Carnegie, it would be a great place to start.. even if you do continue to hire illegals, the things you can learn will come in handy. After all, people are people, no matter where you find them.

          • OldVet1969

J_R_K, I am responding to you because I like a lot of what you say on many posts.

You do not owe pmbalele an apology. Look through his full profile. He is an anti-Conservative, anti-Republican, anti-Tea Party progressive liberal black man who believes that everyone but democrats are racist, women hating, race-baiters, that are working to oppress women and minorities and get sharia law imposed. He is a typical brain washed democrat believing that the truth is exactly opposite of what it is. He is one of obama’s “bizarro” people.

As far as “Mark”, all he ever does is disagree with everyone, insult, and name-call to stir the pot. With just over 400 comments, he is a new typical TROLL.

Look into the full profiles of people and review their past posts to find out about them before wasting your time on trying to explain yourself in such detail (although I enjoyed it). You are spot-on in your long previous post concerning employers. I’ve been there too. I agree with you fully about the rule of law that needs to be restored. Not enforcing our laws is where this country has been damaged and continues to be. Illegal immigrants are felons. Plain and simple.

          • J_R_K

I was not aware that posters could look at profiles of other posters… anyone looking at my own may conclude that I am schizophrenic given my tendency to be thoughtful and encouraging on one hand and on the other hand, enjoying demonstrating to arrogant, stupid people that that they are not smart and not respected.

Having said that, this has been my first contact with pmbalele and I hit him pretty hard with my first two comments. He could very well have come back at me with spit and venom, but he didn’t. I’ll take your word for it that he’s everything you say he is, not because you say it, but because of his defense of the hiring of illegals and praise of Obama on the issue, but the fact is, between him and me, I was the one who “threw the first punch” as it were and he answered with a statement of his opinion without any anger, animosity or insult, so from where I sit, yes, I did owe him an apology.

As for Mark… If I said anything to him, I can’t find it now, but I did review some of the things he said on this thread, and yes, I agree with you, he’s obviously just one of those people who come here and throw BS around just to irritate people. One of those guys who thinks arrogance and stupidity are things to be proud of as traits of true manhood. When I detect those same tendencies in pmbalele, I’ll speak to him as such. But until I do, although I disagree wholeheartedly with his view, his claim that breaking the law is a good thing (it benefits only illegals and himself, therefore his reason for hiring them is completely and utterly selfish as well as illegal), until he personally disrespects me, which he did not, it just seems to me that I owe him the same consideration.

          • OldVet1969

You’re right. I sort of follow that same ‘rule-of-thumb’ in any discussions I get into. At least I try to.

To see more on who you are dealing with, “mouse-over” their avatar and then click on “full profile”. It will list whatever information was provided by the person when they signed-up to post and will actually list all the comments they have made under that identity.

Just mousing-over your avatar I see you have made 2029 comments and have 7154 votes. I only have made 171 comments and have 603 votes. You seem to have been ‘sharing’ more than I.

I did learn, as I see you may have, to check the authenticity of what people (and we) seem to think is the truth before just ranting about something. I have had some very interesting, and educational, ‘discussions’ with a few people who have had opposing opinions to mine. I stop responding in a discussion completely after one attempt (with proof) of what the truth is about something, and the other person still refuses to admit to it (and usually resorts to name-calling).

Keep on sharing. I’ll watch for your future posts.

          • J_R_K

            Thanks for the info.

You’ll be watching my future posts?… I guess it’s time to clean up my schizo act… It’s going to be hard.. .. my old man always said that my biggest problem in life was that half my brain is always out wandering around and the other half is out looking for it. I try to see things from both sides, but some people just have a way of slamming the door on any possibility of reasonable discussion. Sometimes, I let it go, other times, I guess I have a tendency to get into a rabbit slapping contest with them. I don’t know if it does any good or not but at times, honestly, I enjoy it, even if I shouldn’t… but I retired less than a year ago, I live alone and I don’t watch television, so, lots of time on my hands ..especially when it’s cold outside.. that’s why so many posts.

          • OldVet1969

Well, I won’t be actively looking for your posts but I certainly won’t forget you. It would seem, then, (since you are retired) we’re both about the same age (and probably disposition) and its hard to be something else from what you have been all of your life if your try to make that change with your own strength. I have a bit of a ‘dark side’ myself. Your ‘rabbit slapping’ and what I have may be needed in the future of saving this country. I have been “accused” more than once of having very little “feelings” or compassion. They are somewhat right. I spent more than 10 years of my life to learn to use that very condition to my advantage serving our country. A few years after I took my final discharge, I had a life-changing event. Since then, my redeeming factor is that a much higher power has pushed most of that out of me and has kept the rest under very close control. I just pray that that dark side of me is never called on to be put into service again. But . . ., “As He wills it, so shall I bear it.” as my late Mother taught me, all too well. This country’s future isn’t looking too bright, and that only leaves it to become darker.

          • J_R_K

I believe we do have a great deal in common, and yes, some people need a good rabbit slapping.. you never know, it just might wake someone up now and again. My “darker side” was put to rest years ago, but yeah, I do still have a temper that I wish I didn’t. Sometimes when people think I’m really mean and cantankerous because of things I say, i just chalk it up to “they only say that because they don’t know what I really wanted to say”. Believe it or not, I “bite my tongue” on these blogs a lot.

Just one thing I gotta say about your comment: ” This country’s future isn’t looking too bright, and that only leaves it to become darker.” … that’s the truth, it isn’t looking too bright… but how many times in our history was that true? What was it like for Americans when those times happened?

Hey, I don’t know if I can post the link here or not, and you’ve probably already heard this, but I think it’s good listening today. I think it says some things that those of us who call ourselves “conservatives” need to always remember about the conservation of freedom. The only thing that has ever really conserved our freedom is a certain attitude, and we need to keep that attitude… even when we look whipped, we never really are. I know, that may sound optimistic to the point of silly.. but given all the silly going on these days, silly as it may seem, I think it’s still best to believe in the American people and what they’ve already shown the world, and what they are capable of when the chips are down.

J, Thanks for the memories! I heard this song by Johnny years ago but never saw the video. Thanks. I downloaded it and have it saved now. I t ends with similar links I will certainly explore.

I fully agree with you that this country will come out of the darkness that seems so inevitable. I just will hate going through it, between now and then. I don’t want that time to wait until I pass, because I would hate even more to think of my family having to endure those times without me.

The decision on all of that is up to the Good Lord and is out of my hands, though. I just hope this country wakes up as to minimize that which is certainly coming.

          • Jerry Hughes

A good practice is a good practice a-hole, I employ 128 people I use exactly the same practices I used 38 years ago, when I started the business.

          • 101Airborne

JRK.. Please don’t paint all people with a broad brush!! I am from a large family and was raised to work hard!! Today many employers are subjected to regulations e.g. promoting unqualified women, minorities to meet quotas etc.. passing by well qualified white men to satisfy quotas..you know this is the rule of the day,if you are truthful with yourself.. I am in agreement with most of your comments, with the exception of your post that tells him “if you continue to hire illegals” (not good advice).

          • J_R_K

Airborne, Please explain why you see that as “not good advice”.

          • Drew Page

I thought you paid your illegals on time, and at more than the minimum wage.

          • Jerry Hughes

I don’t know and I don’t care, I am alwa abiding employer, I only hire citizens, let’s hope that the next one shoots you.

      • Tomas dela Terra

        AMEN!

      • Drew Page

You are aiding and abetting illegal aliens. You are part of the problem. You and people like you bear partial responsibility for illegal alien crime, overcrowded schools, higher property taxes, the rise in health care costs and higher welfare costs. Those of us complaining about illegal aliens are not hiring them. All you are doing is contributing to the problem and blaming other people. Then you try to cover your stupidity by accusing people you don’t know and never met of maltreating blacks.

        • pmbalele

Who are milking cows, working at McDonald’s, harvesting rapes, apples, cleaning restaurants and hotels, working on highways and roofing and processing chickens? Illegals. You and your kids won’t take those jobs. You people are raised so bad you cannot reason. Just like Reagan who did not know what farmers do. You do not want to know what good these illegals are doing for the country. After all if you’re rich it’s because
your father who owns a factory is having illegals working there. Please stop bashing illegals. After all if they have children born here, you cannot ship them back to leave their children here. Please leave illegals alone.

          • Drew Page

I know what farmers do; I worked on a farm for a number of years. I have also worked on road gangs pouring concrete to make roads. I have worked on loading docks loading trucks for UPS. I have worked at McDonalds in the kitchen, both at the grill and cleaning the grills and floors. I have painted houses, cut lawns and shoveled snow to make money. I have worked alongside my father as a common laborer, while he was a bricklayer for his entire working career. I served in the military in Vietnam (1967-68) right alongside of black and Hispanic brothers in arms. I worked at low paying jobs until I could find better, higher paying ones. I am retired now, my wife of 40 years has passed away and I still support my daughters and grandchildren. I am not rich, nor am I poor. Don’t presume for even a moment that you know me.

Don’t tell me to “leave illegal aliens alone”. I will oppose any who break our laws. I managed to get through life for 70 years without breaking our laws, as did my parents and children, so I know it can be done. There are legal ways for people from other countries can come into the U.S.. It may take longer than they like, but that does not give them the right to break our laws. If you can excuse the breaking of one law, you can excuse the breaking of any other law.

plus 100 jackasses in the Senate!!!

      • Drew Page

Whoa. The only jackasses in the Senate that voted for Obama Care were the DEMOCRATS. There was not a single Republican Senator who voted to pass the Affordable Care Act (Obama Care). Of those democrats in the senate that voted to pass the ACA, two of them, Ben Nelson of Nebraska and Mary Landrieu of Louisiana, had to be bribed to get their votes (i.e., the “Cornhusker Kickback” and the “Second Louisiana Purchase”, respectively).

        • 101Airborne

DID THEY SUBJECT THEMSELVES TO THE ACA, ANY ONE OF THEM, INCLUDING THE REPUBS…IF SO ,NAME THEM… I KNOW THEY DIDN’T VOTE FOR IT!!! BUT ONCE PASSED, THEY WERE NOT CONVENIENTLY SUBJECTED TO IT…. AND NOW IN THE MAJORITY, WE’LL SEE IF THEY HAVE THE BALLS TO USE THE POWER OF THE PURSE OR BOW DOWN TO THE SORRY EXCUSE THAT THEY DON’T WANT TO UPSET THE HISPANICS.. THE LEGAL HISPANICS DON’T WANT THE ILLEGALS AFTER HAVING WAITED AND ENTERING THE COUNTRY LEGALLY THEMSELVES… WHAT A SLAP IN THE FACE TO THOSE THAT ENTERED LEGALLY!!! ALL DIRTY POLITICS AS USUAL.. THE TRUTH BE KNOWN, THE REPUBS WANT THEM HERE FOR A DIFFERENT REASON…JUST A DOG AND PONY SHOW FOR THEIR CONSTITUENTS.. SAY ONE THING DO ANOTHER!!! THEY GAVE THE MORON HIS 1.1TRILLION DIDN’T THEY.. MAYBE BOEHNER WILL START CRYING AFTER READING THE POST… WHEN ARE THE REPUBS GOING TO GROW A SET???

          • Drew Page

Don’t say the Republicans want them here for a different reason. I’m Republican and I sure as hell don’t want the illegals here. Any business owner that hires illegals knowingly or carelessly should be fined heavily, repeat offenders should be jailed. Laws should be changed to make it a felony for an illegal who has been deported from the U.S. to return here illegally. I say we should finish building the g,d. fence across the whole southern border. There are legal ways for immigrants to come into this country. I have no problem with anyone coming here the legal way.

The lying bastards that wrote the ACA bill exempted members of Congress from it, but the ACA as written today, does include the members of Congress; they too must have health insurance or pay the fine. However, the government has decided to subsidize their premiums. Employers have the right to decide how much, if anything, they will pay towards the cost of the health insurance they provide their employees.

I’m not a Boehner fan, but don’t confuse a lack of balls with a lack of votes. Damned near every bill that the House has passed, including a proposed budget, has been buried in the Democrat controlled Senate by that miserable s.o.b., Harry Reid. When Boehner did stand up and fought to defund Obama Care and to cap the debt limit ceiling, everyone, and I mean everyone, blamed the Republicans for shutting down the government. A lot of people call for the GOP to shut down the government. Typically the ones shouting the loudest are the ones who aren’t depending on the government for anything. Those depending on Social Security checks, government worker payroll checks, government issued licenses or other government services shout louder than anyone else.

Very soon the new Congress will be sworn in and the GOP will have a majority, I would like to see new GOP leadership in the House and Senate. As you say, we will see what the new Congress does.

          • 101Airborne

I know he didn’t have the votes Drew.. I agree with several of your points re: hiring of illegals etc.. I am pissed that they voted the 1.1 trillion instead of funding the government agencies on an incremental basis to keep the government running, yet funding nothing for his immigration debacle.. I just don’t like the Repub. leadership.. to “flakey”.. If you know what I mean.. they cave in and don’t seem to have the intestinal fortitude to formulate a plan of attack and

          • Drew Page

I also think it’s time for new leadership in the House and Senate. I would love to see Trey Gowdy as the Speaker of the House. I think that Rand Paul might make a good Senate majority leader. I am sick to death of the current lying, corrupt and inept administration trying to turn America into a third world socialist state. I suspect we have a lot more in common than than you think.

          • nonnie11

I know we they better, it’s not going to get better if they don’t grow a big bull set !

    • OldVet1969

And I’m certain all of the people working to “assist” them are volunteers so it doesn’t cost us millions for them, too. (Riiiiiight!)

  • sherri palmer

Too bad they are not being given the wrong info like we were lied to by the muslim in charge…We cant even afford OBAMA…he is spending every penny that congress lets him get his hands on, he is brutal and a real bit-h

    • Bobtrhn

Sherri if you weren’t a lady I would love to tell you exactly what he is. But out of respect I think you can probably guess what he is really.

      • Mark

        Yes she is a batch…….

  • Cindy

Where in the hell is all this money coming from that is getting all these illegal immigrants ready to take over this country of ours? Fine job Congress did passing this BS so lets take all the cost of these illegals out of their damn paychecks. What a sorry excuse for the government that is supposed to be working for us.

    • Bobtrhn

The worse is yet to come. He still has two damn years left.

      • USACITIZEN97

THE ONLY TIME LEFT SHOULD BE IN FRONT OF A FIRING SQUAD FOR ALL APPROVING THIS ::::::: PERIOD

        • Bobtrhn

That wouldn’t work. Too many people would be fighting and shooting each other for the right to be the one to shoot that shot.

          • USACITIZEN97

Everyone can take turns though there will not be much to shoot at after a while

          • Bobtrhn

            GOOD POINT

        • snowyriver

obama not being a natural born citizen should be removed from his current residence.. All politicians who voted for him should be removed from office as they broke their oath of office.

          • Tomas dela Terra

So, what planet did Obama come from?

More importantly, which planet did YOU come from?

          • snowyriver

I can see you have no idea what a natural born citizen is.. Do some research before you open your mouth.

          • Tomas dela Terra

How does a “natural born citizen” differ from an “unnatural” born citizen? :>)

          • snowyriver

You should ask George Washington, he put that phrase in the constitution and he used Vattels Law of Nations for the meaning.

      • herb portere

where is Lee Harvey Oswald when we need him?

        • Karen Redd

          My thoughts EXACTLY!

        • snowyriver

If obama was a true convert from Islam, the Muslim jihadists would have taken care of our problem already.

    • Jean

From us who don’t want them here. Time for a real tea party.

      • Tomas dela Terra

No one gives a damn WHO you want here. It ISN’T up to you to decide. I’m sure a lot of people don’t want you here.

        • Jean

Excuse me. I’m an American. It is partially up to me to decide. You and your other illegals are the one who are to have NO say. You’ll will not take over this country. It’s ours. Now GET OUT.

    • Mark

          • Jerry Hughes

            Still molesting little boys ?

    • Louise Goins

We borrow alot from China using the national forests as collateral. Taxes collected are used to pay the interest-the principle does NOT go down….we just keep raising debt limit and borrow more coz obama said we dont have a spending problem…wonder how that would turn out in real life- not the dc fantasy world, that we in real life have to pay and pay and pay, while we work and scrimp by….

    • Bobtrhn

Looks like this mark idiot is trying to get a clue from you. Seems as though it’s the only word he knows

    • Karen Redd

Out of our pockets and yes the scumbag is just warming up, there’s no telling what cheating gutless BS he’ll come up with in the next two years. Never in the history of this proud country have Americans been so desperate in believing we can count on repubs to save OUR country. If we can’t… that’s it. And the first and most important thing we HAVE to do is get rid of that backstabbing hypocrite boehner. We all need to send emails, letters, or make phone calls telling our congressmen TO VOTE AGAINST HIM! That POS has got to go!

      • Daraleen

I am not directing this to anyone particular. But I read where the Supreme cout says this is illegal.
So why are they not doing any thing about it. Can anyone tell me why?

        • Bobtrhn

Because no one has the marble to pursue it.

          • Daraleen

Thanks Bob. In other words we are screwed.

          • Bobtrhn

We are not screwed if people stand up for what they believe in.

          • Mark

To bad you don’t know what your talking about………

          • Jerry Hughes

          • Bobtrhn

Apparently you haven’t read the constitution or even know what it is. What bozo is doing is against our constitution. AND THAT’S A FACT IDIOT.

      • Karen Redd

Please do, and take mark and tomas with them.

    • herb portere

DEPORT THEM AND PUT LAND MINES ALONG THE WHOLE BORDER!!

      • Karen Redd

Oh that would be so awesome, like a dream come true. And throw obola and hypocrite boehner and all the other traitors over there also- everyone one of them that has turned their back on us. Maybe then America’s voice would be heard instead of ignored.

        • herb portere

Hi Karen, glad you agree. Barak Hussein O Bowel must go. He’s already set us back a century. I believe there may be a race war because of him, and this country will be speaking Spanish in 20 yrs…the founding fathers will roll over in their graves…God help us!

          • Karen Redd

God help U.S.- please, because otherwise it’s going down and very few politicians are trying to stop it. Who would have ever dreamed that they would turn their back on their country? And you people insult all you want (because those of you who would I could care frigging less lol) but I don’t understand how this BS got by this far- I am stunned that our government has let this BS happen. The democraps started this shit and unfortunately they are winning. I would like to think tho that surely they’re not ‘all’ still behind this, my God how could they be? Did all our soldiers who have died for this country mean nothing to them? Americans who have pride in this precious country damn sure do care. The thought of how our soldiers now must feel about the hypocrites determined to destroy the country that they would give their life for, God bless them, my heart sure goes out to them. And I am so proud of them every one and all. I wish I could tell them how sorry I am- and thank you. Sorry this got so long- that’s my proud American heart speaking lol.

          • pmbalele

What is wrong with having illegals legalized. Nobody wants to work on work by illegals. Most people here are fat, lazy and on drugs. I am tolking TPs and Repubs who are blocking buses with illegals.

          • Karen Redd

Yes and if there is a race war he will be thrilled, yet I think he could care less about his own people. I compare him 100% to that POS hypocrite george soros

  • Pam Powell

Frankly I am sick of my taxes being spent on illegals and being sent to other countries for “aid”. Well I am done. Claiming exempt on the W-4 and not filing a return. TO HELL WITH OBAMA. If enough people stop handing over their “taxes” they will have a hard time paying for all these damn ILLEGALS and the benefits they are handing them. I hope all the volcanoes erupt in Hawaii while O-Whine-Baby is there for his CHISTMAS vacation and he is swept up by a wave of lava.

  • The signs of the end times are everywhere…

As we witness such things as the spread of globalism, the building of a one-world church, the increase of wickedness, the breakdown of the traditional family, the destruction of that priceless bastion of liberty called America, the normalization of homosexuality, the callous murder of babies, the filthy pop culture, the breathtaking increase in governmental surveillance, we become fearful, uncertain, frustrated, angry, and discouraged, but this is because our minds and hearts are too focused on things of this world rather than things above. Too often we have the same short view that “conservative” unbelievers have rather than the long view that comes from the light of Bible prophecy.

The devil is the god of this world, and his handiwork is evident everywhere, but he is not God and he is not in control of the times and the seasons.

“Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding” (Dan. 2:20-21).

We should stand in the confidence that the present evil is exceedingly temporary and will soon be cut down.

This is totally wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How can anyone even think these illegals have any rights here at all? They Broke the Law by coming here and are now demanding , DEMANDING that we give them amnesty and fill their pockets with money and anything else they can think of. Should they be held accountable for using someone else’s SS number? What a stupid question. Doesn’t anyone care about the trouble they have caused the people whose SS number they stole and used were put in and some are still in! But no they will not be punished for that because we drove them to commit the crime in the first place!

    • Tomas dela Terra

      >”Doesn’t anyone care about the trouble they have caused the people whose SS number they stole and used were put in and some are still in! ”

WHAT trouble? I have several hundreds of $ in SS deposits in my account that these “criminals” will never see a dime of!. Why would I WANT to punish them???????????????

What bullshit in thIS article. THE PEOPLE ARE UNDOCUMENTED, NOT ILLEGAL. IT IS NOT A FEDERAL CRIME TO BE IN THE COUNTRY WITHOUT DOCUMENTS. It is a civil offense; like a littering ticket. It is a HUGE cash winner for the country. Large fines, taxes, NO WELFARE. Welcome them all; we prefer him to the type that write this kind of awful article. Things are great under Obama, btw; he’s continuing to clean up the horrible mess left by the Bushes.

  • Martha Amodio

No one is forceing him out of the white house!! All I ever read is they ask us our questions on Facebook wanting us Americans to vote!! Sovereignty and the rule of law have left the building. Veterans families at Ft Hood told those lives ended or changed forever by a Major was work place violence. Housing illegals on military bases with homeless veterans. Paying refugees that aren’t, except out of convenience. Accepting 70 yr old destitute immigrants while cutting services for our own elderly.

  • 2 parrots and a dog

I think part of Obama’s plan is to allow massive numbers of Muslims to become citizens so that it becomes easier for them to get rid of we infidels and to vote in Sharia law down the line. Why else would an Islamic center be used? Maybe this is the true reason for all the weapons and ammo that have been dispersed throughout the country. Is it possible that Obama courted the progressives knowing that they would think it was their agenda that Obama would push. Is it possible that the reason Obama never does his job is because he is just biding his time in order for the Progressives to believe they would be the power behind the throne? He knew that he could get them to cry racism if anyone brought attention to the surge of Muslims.
He also knew that he could cause chaos by the slow escalation in racial tensions by preventing a solid economic recovery. He knew that black communities would be hit hard. He made people even more dependent on government programs knowing the system couldn’t handle it. He has sown racial tension since he first got into office and has both condoned and instigated rioting. He is using Sharpton and in return not prosecuting him for unpaid taxes. Al is stupid and willing enough to believe anything Obama tells him even at the expense of blacks as long as he makes money and stays out of jail. He has placed a bullseye on every police officer.
Obama has purposely racked up as much debt as possible, but it wasn’t growing as fast as he needed it to because he only has two years for his final move to be made. He decided not to secure our borders and dangled a carrot so that there would be a massive continuous stream of illegals to further destabilize our country and to give easy access to Muslims. He has put Muslims in key positions and is having Islam promoted the common core program, He has alienated our closest allies and has bowed to our enemies. He has turned his back to persecuted Christians here and abroad. He has been dismantling our military and getting rid of officers.
He has made the people who employ people enemies and has also placed a mountain of new regulations on them including Obamacare. Some are insuring that are utilities will skyrocket. Food already is. People can’t afford Obamacare so there will be massive property confiscations. He’s increased the amount of Monopoly money being printed. The list goes on and on and we are facing a very serious perfect storm against our country and in the very near future.

    • Bobtrhn

I really believe that is all true what you wrote here. I wish people could see this and the direction this asshole is taking our country. Open borders like ours is the fastest way to bring down our country. I do believe he does have his private army ready to strike at anytime. We do need to be ready.

What is it with Americans ? 10 to 30 million illegals means almost the same numbers of our people will not get jobs. Our welfare numbers will jump way up and Americans will suffer .The only thing Obama has on his mind is DEMOCRAT VOTES . That number is more that the total population of most states. Meanwhile the reg. republicans are trying to hold on by making the real republican party ,The Tea Party which should be called the Constitution Party ,Look bad and hurt their votes . We have to be the dumbest bunch that has ever lived .

The enemy from with-in continues to spend us into poverty, which will make all of use, finally, Equal! Except, when all of the working-stiffs and tax payers are poor, who is going to provide funds for all of these folks who are here on the “Give me Chocolate” program?

  • Drew Page

Mass deportations of all illegal aliens is the right move. Secure the border. Finish building the fence along the entire U.S./Mexican border. Pass a law making it a felony for deported illegal aliens to illegally return to the U.S. Fine heavily employers who knowingly and/or carelessly hire illegal aliens. Refuse all government assistance benefits (food stamps, rent subsidies, welfare payments, income tax credits, free medical care and public schooling of illegal alien children). Issue no drivers licenses to illegal aliens. Prosecute those cities and states that provide “sanctuary” for illegals. Require aliens here legally to carry photo IDs with their visa and to report their whereabouts to ICE at least once a month and revoke the visas of those failing to comply and deport them. Pass laws making it a felony to create and provide false identification papers such as birth certificates, Social Security cards, passports, drivers licenses or any other government issued identity documents.

The idea that if a law breaker and can hide out in America long enough, then all will be forgiven is just so much hog wash. I have heard the tired excuses that these illegals just want a better life for themselves and their families. Every thief and con man, rich or poor, that has ever been caught can use the same excuse. There is a way to enter the U.S. legally. It may be difficult and time consuming, but there is a legal way.

There will be nothing left of this country in a few years if he and the rest of the sell outs arent terminated. Everything that joker has done has gone against we the people of the united states. Enough is enough and we are in desperate need for a revolution. He writes his own rules and doesn’t need congress to pass sh.t. And we keep letting him get away with it. Overthrow the corrupt gov and secure our borders and deport all the current illegals is what needs to be done.
