If there’s one thing history has taught the average American it’s that power corrupts… absolutely.
This is the case with the new spending bill that was just forced through congress. This time however the $1.1 trillion dollar spending bill was designed and engineered by Republicans and is making the White House salivate.
The new omnibus bill fully funds Obama’s amnesty program. Additionally, it’s going to help foot the bill for the train wreck known as Obamacare.
Amazing how after months of threatening the president with impeachment and lawsuits the Republican leadership can scratch Obama’s back and tell him what a great job he’s doing.
Leading the charge is none other than speaker of the house John Boehner. Boehner has proven with this move he is deeply against the American public and values his position more than he does defending any pretense of liberty and freedom.
He has saddled the nation with debt and reneged on his promises to help Americans win the fight against growing government.
What’s even more interesting is many Democrats, including Nancy Pelosi, are firmly against the bill.
Hardly ever are conservatives and Democrats on the same side. Albeit Dems taking issue with the bill has nothing to do with the size of the spending package.
As The Guardian reports:
Republicans formed an unlikely alliance with the White House in a late-night scramble to pass a $1.1 trillion federal budget over the objections of House Democrats, who claim it has been hijacked by Wall Street lobbyists and campaign finance interests.
In dramatic scenes that mirrored the lead-up to the government shutdown of October 2013, White House chief of staff Denis McDonough spent three hours locked in talks with the House Democratic caucus on Thursday night trying to persuade its members to drop their opposition to the so-called “cromnibus” and pleading with them that it was the best deal available.
Boehner and his traitor colleagues say they’re doing their best to prevent a government shutdown. In reality, they’re chipping away at constitutional freedoms while deferring to corporate interests — hardly the characteristics of inspired constitutional leadership.
The worst part about the bill is how it was pushed through in the middle of the night, and even grew by 161 pages in a matter of hours.
This bill hasn’t even been fully understood before it was voted on… just like Obamacare.
There is still an outside chance the bill could be killed as not all Republicans were there for the procedural vote.
For liberty’s sake it’s hoped Republicans come to their senses and put a halt to this madness.
The elections in November proved one thing: Americans are sick of being treated like peons. They want real, constitutional governance.
But right now all they have is a GOP leadership who is happy to do what’s best for them, not what’s best for the people.
Another way they’ve dealt Americans a death blow has everything to do with the collusion between the government and big food companies. Food’s been getting more expensive and less healthy the more the government subsidizes crops.
Ask any good old-fashioned farmer and he’ll tell you it’s true.
The best way to reclaim you health while saving a boatload in the process is to escape the food monopoly.
