Another Senator to Retire

Utah Senator Orrin Hatch has recently announced his retirement after being in political office for over 40 years.

He stated it is his time to hang up his gloves by saying, “For me, that time is soon approaching.”

“After much prayer and discussion with family and friends, I’ve decided to retire at the end of this term.”

“I may be leaving the Senate, but the next chapter in my public service is just beginning.”

Senator Hatch outlived his usefulness about 35 years ago. He has not been a been a friend to the conservative cause in a long time if ever. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

This is very sad news. I would rather seen Orin Hatch remain over the thought of that sellout traitor Mitt Romney getting the seat. What a nightmare. Please don’t retire yet Orin.

Folks this is why we the people MUST put term limits on these asholes. HOW can anyone stay in congress for over 20 plus years????????? This is why we have unchecked corruption from the good ole boy network!!!

    • Tom Wiegand

Because the publicists them in mostly through “Name Recognition” so who’s at fault here the, the Constitution, or lazy uninformed citizens allowinf forgot media and political parties steer them instead of the citizens steering the governmental process as was intended ?

      • Bobby Stephens

Tom I agree. The people need to do their due diligence. I also think we need to put in TERM limits so NO politician or anyone for that matter will be able to serve more than 8 years total. I am furious that these assholes have been on our dime for over 20 years and we the American people have been Suffering through their BULLShit. That ass John Kerry said it well, The American voter is stupid!!!! I was very offended at first but think about it. Look at the Congress, How can we let these people in with no return on our investment year after year???

        • Bobby Stephens

we need term limits to protect us from the STUPID!!!!!

I can think of another dozen Senators that deserve permanent retirement. Diane Feinstein, Kamala Harris, Chuck Schumer, Bill Nelson, Thad Cochran, John McCain, Kirrsten Gillebrand, Mark Warner, Bob Casey, Jeff Flake (already confirmed), Sherrod Brown, and Cory Booker.

The sooner they retire, the better for America.
