Top Clinton Aide Confirms Corruption Within Foundation

A recent email revealed by Wikileaks revealed a top Clinton aide critical of the corruption and double standards within the Clinton Foundation.

Here’s the report from Fox News and the Conservative Tribune:

“In a stunning email obtained by Wikileaks, a former aide to Bill Clinton told the former president that there were several conflicts of interest within the Clinton Foundation.

“Doug Band, one of the former president’s closest confidants, wrote the emails that ended up on John Podesta’s hacked Gmail account between 2011 and 2012.

“Fox News reported that the emails were from ‘when Clinton Foundation offshoot the Clinton Global Initiative and a new business started by top Clinton aide Doug Band, Teneo Holdings, were creating friction with each other – as employees struggled to figure out just how closely the entities should be associated.’

“Band was Clinton’s former ‘body man’ – a personal aide or assistant ┬ásomething similar to Huma Abedin’s role in Hillary Clinton’s campaign – during Clinton’s presidency.

“In a Nov. 17 2011 email, Band seemed to indicate that there were a number of conflicts of interest within the Clinton Foundation.

“‘I signed a conflict of interest policy as a board member of cgi,’ Band wrote Podesta. ‘Oddly, (Bill Clinton) does not have to sign such a document even though he is personally paid by 3 cgi sponsors, gets many expensive gifts from them, some that are at home etc.’

That’s how the Clintons roll, Doug. It’s one set of rules and laws for the common folk, and another ‘special’ set of rules for Bill and Hill. However, it’s somewhat refreshing to see at least one person in the Clintons’ inner circle who cared about ethics and doing the right thing.

Do you think that Doug Band was a rare exception – an extremely ethical Clinton aide – or was he extremely naive… or a little bit of both?
