Over the weekend another name was added to the hat that Democrats plan to fill to bursting.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren has announced she will seek the presidency in 2020.
“This is the fight of our lives. The fight to build an America where dreams are possible, an America that works for everyone,” Warren declared. “And that is why I stand here today: to declare that I am a candidate for President of the United States of America.”
The 69-year-old will be joining other announced Democrats Kamala Harris and Cory Booker.
There were some V.I.P. attendees supporting Warren as she spoke. Rep. Joe Kennedy III and Sen. Ed Markey where both on hand.
“No one knows how to fight for what is right better than Elizabeth Warren,” Markey said. “No one knows how to get under Donald Trump’s skin better than Elizabeth Warren.”
It has quickly become a crowded race and there is much speculation of Warren’s chances. Those odds have also been complicated by the senators constant claims of Native American heritage.
