This could end VERY badly for the United States…
Border Patrol agents are falling ill at migrant detention centers, with some contracting scabies, chicken pox, mumps, the flu and more.
Migrants are bringing in diseases and passing them on to border patrol agents and other migrants.
In fact some agents fear that migrant that are fleeing the Democratic Republic of the Congo maybe bringing in Ebola to the United States, Fox News reports.
Migrant holding facilities in the Del Rio and El Paso sector are filled with sick agents and detainees.
Jon Anfinsen is a National Border Patrol Council vice president and based in Del Rio, which includes Eagle Pass, where most Congolese are arriving. Anfinsen represents approximately 1,000 agents who are based out of 10 regional holding stations. Anfinsen has been an agent 12 years and said the number of people in custody and subsequent illnesses among that population is “unprecedented.”
“Scabies, chickenpox — we had one case of the mumps here in Uvalde. I wanna say we had measles — plenty of the flu, plenty of colds, body lice, just assorted. And some of these things, they spread like wildfires when you get into a cramped holding cell. It happens,” Anfinsen said.
The continuous breakouts — in part caused by the overcrowded conditions in facilities and difficulty quarantining each sick person — are taking both a physical and mental toll on agents.
KVIA has background on this terrible situation:
“I believe this is probably the record, you know, Border Patrol-wide, since ever, of agents calling in sick,” said Carlos Favela, president of the National Border Patrol Council Local 1929.
Favela said the trend started at the same time as the surge of migrants seeking asylum in the U.S. in late 2018. Newly-released figures from the Department of Homeland Security reveal Border Patrol agents encountered 109,144 migrants in April 2019, the highest since 2007. The figure includes more than 58,000 migrant parents and children and 8,800 unaccompanied children taken into custody, according to Homeland Security.
Favela said agents are filing reports with the union, saying they came into contact with undocumented immigrants infected with the H1N1 virus and diseases like chicken pox and Legionnaires’.
This is a travesty, and no civilized nation should allow hordes of unvetted and unvaccinated migrants across it’s borders.
Not only is this a ongoing danger to border patrol agents it is an ongoing danger to the citizens of this country.
The problem appears to be not the few citizens who refuse vaccinations for whatever reason, but immigrants who have never been vaccinated that are dumped in our cities.
