According to Yahoo! News, Missouri Sen. Roy Blunt will not seek another term in office in 2022, instead opting for retirement at age 71.
“After 14 general election victories – three to county office, seven to the United States House of Representatives, and four statewide elections – I won’t be a candidate for reelection to the United States Senate next year,” he said in a video to voters.
Blunt is the latest in a long line of Republican Senators to announce his retirement.
